Basana - Learn Chinese

Simplistic design and easy to use interface. I really like this flash card style app! Introduces new Hanzi at intervals and quickly integrates the new Hanzi into new sentences to read. Suggestions for future upgrades would include: an ability to hear the Chinese pronunciation of the word when you tap on it and the ability to use the hover feature to also see the word in pinyin. Additionally, I think it would be good if the user was able to set some type of daily time goal and the app would let you know when you’ve met it. When you’re in the app, and are allowing new words to be introduced, it can feel like you never know the right time to quit or get the sense of accomplishment as new words will continually enter. Current version is highly efficient for flash cards and memorization of characters, but lacks pinyin to really drive it home.

It’s so easy and fun to use, that even though i don’t have plans to learn the language, I like to use it. I feel like I learn chinese very fast when i use this app. Extremely effective and useful for those who want to learn chinese quickly.

Easy to use and you can do it with your own pace.

This app is much better to learn chinese with than other apps like Duolingo. If you compare you will notice yourself. Basana gets straight to the point!
