Basement Beast

The 12 week program is the by far the best I’ve used. I’m well versed at home workouts, and Basement Beast is helping me pack on muscle and cut the little bit of belly fat post knee injury. The workouts are fast and furious, seem easy, but really push you to your best. Fabian’s personality and push keeps you at each workout. I’m 55 soon, my phisyce is quite good, but this has tipped it. I’ve had to go up a shirt size, and it’s only week 4. The FB group is a great bunch of lads supporting each other as we go. The whole vibe of this program and it’s creators just give it something that feels achievable with crazy good results.

Seriously, this will do it. Stick with it.

Great app and programs

Once you track your progress and mark workouts as complete in the app, they cannot reset the progress to start your tracking over again. So if you want to track your progress and have it reset, you still have to use the website version.

This app is far better than the old web portal. It’s easy to navigate, easy to stream video to a tv and looks good.

I’m thankful for not having to use a browser anymore! The favorites option as well as the ability to download lessons in case of internet loss are great features.

Been doing Basement Beast workouts for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love the different programs and the energy and motivation Fabian brings. But the app is terrible. Can’t get through an entire workout without it freezing and having to restart, which ruins the whole point. I actually pull up the site on chrome and use that instead. Whatever you’re spending to build and maintain this….it just needs to be better.

I’ve been a BB member since 2021 and I absolutely love Fabian and the several different programs he’s made available for members. Great workouts in all kinds of variations! But the app has been acting up a lot for me lately. It skips a lot during workout videos and sometimes freezes completely or randomly restarts the workout halfway through. Hope they can get a handle on these issues because I love how the app streamlines the different workout programs.

While the workouts are good, the app is way too buggy. Quite a few times the workout video just freezes and I have to mess with it, rewind it, fast forward it, and/or reboot the video to get it going again. This completely ruins the rhythm of a timed, high paced workout It takes you out of your cardio and heart rate zone and allows your muscles to cool down when it should be the opposite during a good workout. Today, I’ve been messing with the app for over 30 minutes and I can not get it to work. I went to do a quick 20 minute workout in a short window of time I had available, but when I pulled up the app and went to select the workout video I wanted, it logged me out. After logging back in, it would not load the “programs” tab. It would continue to get stuck with the spinning pin wheel. It would let me switch to the me or account tab with this review request prominently posted, so here I am. Instead of getting in a workout, all the app is allowing me to do is leave a review, so here it is. If the app worked smoothly, it would be five stars for the workouts, but considering how buggy it is with interfering with being able to get to and use the workouts, it’s a two star. Fix the app so it works and it’ll be five stars.

I’ve been using basement beast for a couple years now and the variety offered really helps keep me engaged! I would definitely recommend it!
