Bayut is not doing proper due diligence on ads
I saw an ad on Bayut, and shortly after the incident, the apartment became unavailable. Initially, the person I contacted was cooperative. When I went to visit the apartment, he wasn't there but shared the entry code with me. I loved the apartment so much that I was certain about renting it. I told the person to prepare the contract on عقار. However, he wanted me to transfer the money directly to a bank account. When I insisted on paying only through عقار, he started shouting at me, insulted me, and then hung up. This guy is a thief. I called the company that originally posted the ad on Bayut, and they explained that this individual came as a visitor, took the entry code and pictures of the apartment, and then posted them on Bayut to mislead users and take their money. This incident indicates that the Bayut app is not performing proper due diligence on ads, thereby putting users at risk.
