What happened to the ability to share a story/news article? Seems to have disappeared with the last versions of the app
Temporary UK ex-pat that uses the BBC Sports app to keep up with Cricket and Premier League news. Unfortunately, news articles are the only thing available because the BBC’s isolationist culture prevents watching any of the included videos, because they are simply “not available in your location.” They should just pull the app from the U.S. App Store!
I like the app and the ease of finding things but I keep getting tricked into clicking on a football headline only to find out it’s woman’s football which isn’t my interest. Please put women’s in the headline before writing something about a woman’s football team. I’m going to try the Sky App now to see if it’s better
Great app. Use it all the time for staying up to date with the EPL and F1.
I am really unsure why you have now changed the format of the above. It is not user friendly when looking things up seeing the scores, etc. and the worst of it is I can no longer see the breakdown of the points via the number of games lost, drawn or won. Showing the team flags can just be done when you click on to see the details of a match, they are certainly not needed via the scores and the tables. Re BBC News, I fully understand seeing commercials (although I would be happy to pay a fee and not see them!) but it is quite frustrating when you click on some features automatically starts the commercials and the article without clicking on it. Not good when you’re looking at it in the middle of the night when you can’t sleep and it wakes your partner up! Best, Jim
It’s sad that when you go to fixtures and scores, there’s nothing on women’s games, unless you select the women tab. As if their games aren’t as important as guys’.
The new version of the app loses intersting data for the sake of club badges, games W/L/D, and the relevant points deductions for the financial fair play penalties.
How is it after all these years the same person is the “chief football writer?” Is it not right to give someone else a chance who could better promote such a beautiful worldwide sport? Not sure how many years now we’ve read the personal grudges, bias, and mean spiritedness of PM, but I feel we are being cheated not getting a more rounded opinion. And unfortunately your golf correspondent is following in those same footsteps! Stop the bleeding now, this fella was the anti-Tiger scribe long before the driveway crash, now another crash a couple years ago & yet the nastiness persists?? Is this really the representation of Britain & British peoples opinion & thoughts BBC want? Sad
BBC Sport is my go-to for tennis and golf. My one complaint is that it gives me the name of the tournament venue but not the city and country. I have to look that up elsewhere, like CBS Sports.
Great coverage especially for me in America, plus on BBC Sounds I can get live coverage on RadioWales for rugby games! Overall brilliant.
