They probably paid millions to make this app.
I launched this app expecting it to show me my upcoming ferry reservation made before downloading the app, instead I get endless spinning beach ball. Nice work.
I noted an issue with how the schedules for Port McNeill to both Sointula and Alert Bay and vice versa. When you access a schedule for either the Sointula or the Alert Bay runs from the Current Conditions page, the direction of the route is inverted…i.e., the schedules are for the opposite direction of what is identified.
Pretty terrible app that’s basically a wrap on the website. Worst of all, booking a sailing is riddled with errors and fails more often than it succeeds. Latest issue: when selecting a sailing, the app throws a “password fail error” despite being logged on, and no password being required for this step, at which time the booking simply fails. This has been happening for weeks now despite logging back in, restarting app, booking different sailings etc etc
I’m unable to even use my account. I’m locked out and can’t delete it and start a new one.
Nice they made an app but this is clearly created by a web developer not a mobile app developer.
I can see where my tax dollars are being spent, on idiot “developers” who can’t even make a decent web wrapper, let alone iOS “app” (this is NOT an app in any way, shape or form), and then marketing budgets to plaster huge signs for this garbage all around the terminals and vessels! This thing is clunky, unstable, unintuitive, slow, and doesn’t use ANY of the Apple iOS interface components that make genuine iOS apps friendly and intuitive. It is literally a craptastic browser trying to render the BC Ferries website within it, and doesn’t even do a good job of that; the experience is FAR superior using Safari and just browsing to the website! People should be demanding discounts on their already substantially overpriced vessel fares for this disaster!
You cannot create a new account. You can only log into an existing account. Seems like a very important detail missed.
Everything is functioning quite well. I have no real problems doing bookings or anything else. The only thing is that the app is relatively slow, but this could have many different reasons. Overall I like the App but there is still room for improvements.
