I was a long time customer of theirs when it was Garageio. I bought the replacement when that was end of life’s. This unit has been nothing but trouble. It chews up batteries like crazy. It frequently gives errors randomly like the controller requires a paired door sensor (it is) and the unit had too many failed open attempts. I also have a MyQ and that works flawlessly and rarely needs batteries. Getting locked out of the garage in the rain is the final straw. Just don’t get it.

I purchased this after they discontinued the Garageio device service which worked flawlessly for 8yrs. I wish I could say the same about this device, but I’ve had nothing but problems since installing it this summer. There were problems with the first sensor which would stop working when the battery level got to 65% - which would happen within just a few weeks. After a few chats with support (someone in Mexico that would have to call you), they sent me a new sensor. It’s only been slightly better since then, although the sensor still chews through batteries. Now, I occasionally get a message that states “there have been too many failed open/close attempts, please push the button on the wall”. So, this morning, I use the app to close the door and try to open it 2min later and get the message above. Yet now I’m locked out of my house. I hope everyone reads this BEFORE buying this piece of junk. Find something better.

This company forced me to upgrade to Beam Home when they retired Garageio. I paid for a new device and installed it. Several times a week it gives the following error for no reason and will not let us open the garage door. Spend your money/time elsewhere Your controller has been disabled due to too many talled closes. lo re-enable, please close the door using the wall control.

no support with apple home kit. I get errors in iphone all the time when opening about controller! need to work a lot on this to improve. look for better solution.

It’s cool when it works but keeps erroring out and locks me out until i hit the button on the wall in the garage. Works like 3-4 times out of 10 then i have to reset it again.

Cannot connect controller to wi-go. I have tried 12 times and it will not work. So thumbs down.

If you ever plan to upgrade to a 5 ghz WiFi network, don’t bother in investing in something that’s already antiquated. I had to dumb down to an old router for this thing to be able to connect to it. Aside from that, works as advertised, and it’s easy to setup!

I’m all for startup companies but sheesh. Throw a little more support behind this app and the garage door opener. If the battery status is correct the 2 AAA batteries that I just installed into the door sensor will run out in about 3 months. ~10% in 1-2 weeks.. pairing with a door sensor error is every other time I try to open the garage door, if it’s not that the swipe up/down is completely unresponsive, I’ve gotten to the point where I just open the door to my garage and walk in.

Seems like the most recent update has made this app unusable, I get “Your controller requires pairing a door sensor before the request can be processed (428)” I now have to get out of the car and manually punch in my code in order to open the door. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM ASAP!

The setup is very flaky and really need improvement. If you move out of the setup screen, you need to start over again. If you go through the setup, Create an account, and as you try to scan the monitor, if you go back to home, cannot go back and setup again, it errors out saying device is already registered. If you already have a login account, there is no way add a controller. So looks like one account per controller is required. This app is a good try but really need improvement!
