Per quanto il nostro sguardo sul mondo ci appaia senza confini, purtroppo non è così. Oggi possiamo vedere tutto ciò che qualcun altro decide di condividere, purché rientri tra i nostri contatti. Possiamo interagire e commentare, consapevoli, però, che chiunque verrà a saperlo. E possiamo accedere alle webcam dei vari siti, ma non decidere dove installarle o direzionarle.
L’app Beam ti permette di essere ovunque, in qualsiasi momento. Grazie alla geolocalizzazione, una volta effettuata la registrazione, potrai selezionare lo smartphone di altri Beamers e guardare ciò che vuoi attraverso le loro videocamere frontali. Il tutto in forma completamente anonima. Sei tu, grazie al joystick sullo schermo, a direzionare l’inquadratura della sua videocamera. Il Beamer che accetta la chiamata riceve una somma in forma di crediti da usare come preferisce, in ricariche telefoniche, buoni Amazon o chiamate Beam.
Rispondendo alle più diverse esigenze, Beam può essere usata nelle tante situazioni della vita di ogni giorno. Siano esse dettate da un concreto bisogno, da pura curiosità o da desiderio di evasione. Vedere un locale che non conosco, la spiaggia o il B&B dove andrò in vacanza, un concerto, una città – magari – dall’altra parte del mondo… O semplicemente la fila davanti la posta, un parcheggio o il traffico in strada.
