Excellent pocket reference

Use this all the time. Great pocket reference app for TCM practitioners.

Needs more development

This is a fairly good app but for the price that you pay it needs way more development and things included. It's a little bit cumbersome to get around and there is no search engines to find something specific. They only have their predesigned symptoms categories. All in all it's a good start but for the money there's other programs that are better than this out there for a much lower price. That's my opinion...

I never would have purchased an I Pod were it not for apps like this. I am a TCM student and a fellow student showed me this and other TCM programs. I am very pleased with this program. The layout is very good - highlights are helpful with key info and access to linked info very well set up. The pictures of the herbs are easily accessible, as well, large and very clear - I love this feature. The ability to easily add endnotes makes this a very useful tool for students; I actually type my additional info, which is specific from my instructor, on the endnotes while in class. I have found the information included on these cards to be very good and from good reference material, so I have very few notes to add. The notes then appear as part of the electronic card for the herb or formula. Formulas are also easy to access and have the advantage of easy accesses to specific herb cards; I wish I would have had this program for my Formulas I class. I have found classification for herbs and formulas to be good. I use this tool as an easy way to have study materials with me all the time – I can leave my books at home. As far as any negatives for the program, I have found none in its overall function, quality of information or layout. Not all herbs have pictures, yet, but in speaking to the developers those will be added and sent in free updates. I highly recommend this program. Apple should be happy with developers like these, they defiantly reeled in a new customer for the I Pod.
