Midway through my subscription I updated the app ... after this I was unable to view my magazine .. when logging in it said my user name and password were not recognized.. I wrote to best and was told they couldn't help it was up to Apple to resolve the issue... apple then said it was not them up to best... after10 days of back and forth apple cancelled the subscription ... I didn't feel that my problem was resolved as now no magazine... don't thing I will bother subscribing again.. and this is after many years of subscribing...
After the app update I could no longer download the latest editions onto my iPads. I had already paid for a 12 month subscription through iTunes but still I could not download unless I paid for the individual edition. Contacting Hearst Magazines resulted in them blaming iTunes and saying it was their issue. Apple blamed Hearst magazines and so on - so no one is assisting. The app worked perfectly before the update and I believe it is the app producer who should be resolving this (I have subscribed for years) and as no one is willing to resolve the problem I would only give a one star rating - and of course no future subscription.
Just that really! It's not showing up on my phone as an icon and it won't open from App Store either.
I downloaded this app on my iPod Touch and found the magazines to be very good for the price. I then decided to download the app on my iPhone, so I could read the magazines that I'd purchased, on there too. But when I looked on the Settings, there is no 'Restore Purchases' button that other magazine apps have. So I cannot sign into iTunes, to be able to re-download the magazines I have already bought. I don't want to purchase an edition twice!
Finally a good UK magazine which is popular and enjoyable. Even better now it's on the iPad in a better and cheaper form. I've downloaded it and started reading it and it's just like reading the real paper form. Only thing I would say is that for a subscription cost of £10.99 you can get every single issue for 3 months. But I've worked out if you buy each individual copy every week for £0.69p a copy for 3 months individually it works out over a £1 cheaper.
How great to see a magazine I can read. Cheaper than if I was buying from shops too! All we need now is more weekly mags like this - (Chat, Take a break, That's life) I buy them weekly & having them on my phone would be great!
