The app paired easily to Bluetooth and the controls work well. There’s an option to add your own eq setting or choose from the preset profiles. The pro profile is top tier with the best bass but also is well balanced. Easily 5 stars.
App just white screens
iPhone 14 PM , app doesn’t open the interface anymore, just shows a blank white screen.
Useless app
Only sometimes connects, and all it does is show battery life, switching between sound modes (that aren’t explained and I can’t tell the difference), and turning on and off noise cancellation. It’s beyond me why this has to be a separate app instead of being able to handle this in settings. Also, no ability to customize controls. My earbuds randomly connect and disconnect, turn on and off, and sometimes I can pause/adjust volume with touching them, like 40% of the time. It’s really a bummer because the hardware is so much better than AirPods but these things are so annoying to use and keep functional-ish that unless the UX is dramatically improved I won’t be buying any more nor will I recommend these to others. Great hardware but these earbuds and app experience are so aggravating to use the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. What a disappointment. Is Status even doing anything to improve this? Any new releases? I’ve seen none.
Update: A year after I posted this, got a response asking me to take time and email customer support. LOL why? What’s that going to do after a year? I’ve already moved on and bought better earbuds (Beats Fit Pro, 10/10). If THIS is the response, pretty sure nothing has changed and the software is still so bad the hardware isn’t worth it. Also, I lost my charging case and there is no way to buy a replacement. To be clear, if you lose your charging case, they will not sell you another and now your earbuds are useless. This is all so, so useless. I’m amazed this business still exists.
App needs serious attention
The app is buggy and the custom EQ does not work. The app has to continually be relinked to the earbuds to work (which is redundant). You would think that a manufacturer who sells nearly $200 earbuds would have a well developed app to support their “premium product”. The ear buds don’t live up to the hype but, they are decent.
UI is a pain
Trying to use the equalizer is a pain. Very finicky and doesn’t allow you to reset it nor really get it all back to flat.
And doesn’t let you adjust in real time. So you have to adjust it then apply just to see how it sounds.
Absolutely blows
Made me regret buying these earbuds 100%
I’m 50/50 on them
I bought the 3ANC headphones because the of technical aspects that they highlight.
I’ve been using them for about 45 days and I was okay with them. Although I expected to have more bass when using the equalizer but honestly didn’t hear a difference.
For the last 8 days, I haven’t been able to hear people on the other ends of phone calls but they can hear me clearly. I literally put the volume on maximum to be able to hear someone and can barely make out what they are saying. I’m about to go back to using my air pods just for consistency sakes. I do a lot of meetings where I use headphones instead the laptop speakers. Also I listen to SiriusXM through them 5 days a week/ 6 -8 hrs per day on average.
The noise cancelling is amazing though and so is the ambient sound selection. Also the charge time is INCREDIBLE!
How do I get the ISSUES with phone calls corrected??? Are my headphones defective all of a sudden?
TITLE
I feel like most of the people that downloaded this app either got an earlier version and they have since updated it or they didn’t have the 3anc because in the span of a minute I was able to download and get my earbuds connected. So far it’s streamlined how to turn the ANC on/off. Thanks Status
Earbuds are great, app needs work
Need more functionality out of the app, would love to be able to turn off touch functions as they interrupt me gym session with the volume going extremely low or high when I pull them out.
Recommend moving the touch function elsewhere like Apple does, very fluid.
Needs to automatically connect to buds every time, I often have to open the app and take several minutes to reconnect.
App only opens half the time
The app is alright when it works. It’s slightly inconvenient to have to pair each time but that’s not a big deal. It offers some helpful functions and improves the experience… When it opens. Around half the time I attempt to open this app, I get greeted by an endless white screen that stays there no matter how long I wait. I’ve tried redownloading the app, restarting my phone, etc. Nothing works other than just giving up on it, trying again a different day, and hoping for better luck.
