To take your tones to the next level, there are 9 full-featured reverbs in BIAS AMP 2 Mobile. These aren’t just simple two-knob reverbs either - they range from lush halls and chambers to intimate rooms, and each reverb has control of decay time, mix level, high and low cut filters, damping and dwell.
BIAS AMP 2 Mobile integrates seamlessly with Positive Grid's BIAS FX and JamUp guitar multi-effects apps for iPad, expanding BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a powerful and completely unified professional guitar system for live use, recording and jamming. This amp is the best one I have ever had.Worth every penny Well done guys

good software for SOLID STATE sounds

diogenethesinopian on

United Kingdom

it is a quality software, no doubt. Do the sims sound and feel like my tube amps? NO. They sound and feel like a solid state version of them. Not a bad thing, (although I would never use this instead of my tube amps, but you might, IF you don't have tube amps) : just what it is. Excellent cab sims, which is where this type of software scores very high. But the source distortion can never sound and feel like tube distortion, for it is digital.

Excellent on iPad Pro

I have bought and used THU and AmpliTube. The Bias app beats them hands down for ease of use and most importantly- SOUND. When playing along to tracks from my music library it seems like my guitar fits nicely in the mix, making the experience more enjoyable. 5 stars.

iOS 14 glitch

DaveWasp on

United Kingdom

Loved this app, adored it in fact. Since iOS14 it just crashes. Reinstalled and no different. Can’t even try the iPhone version as purchases don’t cover both. I’m starting to find alternatives that are doing a great job though. Please fix this before I get settled elsewhere. ***Glitch fixed, rating up to 5*. Best amp sim available, bar none. 30yr guitar tech, this thing is amazing.

Does not work with Multi input audio

Just bought this thinking it would work with RME Babyface as does Bias Fx but it only allows input on 1 and 2 not 3 or 4.

Crashing every single time

Fatalne Jendze on

Doesn’t save settings, error crash at every startup of the app.

Used to be great

bunkerxav on

United Kingdom

Great sounds out of this, but recently it started to play up, asking me to send an error report every time it runs and randomly deleting saved custom amps. The « run in the background » function doesn’t seem to work anymore, the app just stops when you switch to another app, making it impossible to play over music or to record in your daw. It’s a shame...

Bugs and crashes

Really good when it works. Sadly, it doesn’t. You can spend ages honing the tone of an amp and then save it, only to discover it gone when the app reopens. Often modifications don’t even save when you stay within the app. Tweak an amp, then hit overwrite or save new, and the amp remains in “edited” status rather than committing the changes. Some of the features are greyed out (unlocked via in-app purchase), but a lot of options that require purchasing are not; they just look like available options. You cannot visually differentiate them from the unlocked features until you try to select them and get an infuriating alert message. For the time being, I’m anxious about making further purchases from this developer. Bias FX won’t even load but that’s an issue for a separate review. I hope this app gets the maintenance it deserves... and soon!

Absolute must have!

get it now. Right now.

So good I sold my real Amp

Mortzie266 on

I bought an iPad Pro solely for recording music and after seeing so many good reviews about this app I decided to try it, all I need to say is the reviews were right, this app is awesome!! Worth every penny of the £9.99, best £9.99 I’ve ever spent. I was dubious about whether it would work ok with Cubasis 2, I can confirm it does work ok with Cubasis 2 excellently but a bug in 1 of the apps occasionally causes it to lose connection... I don’t know which app is causing it but it’s easily bypassed by simply switching over to Bias Amp 2 then back to Cubasis and usually it refreshes the connection, it’s not very regular it’s very random but it happened a few times over 2 days? I tried to connect Bias Amp as an insert or send effect instead of routing the bus direct into the IAA bus input and it seemed to improve the issue, it’s most likely a ‘Steinberg Cubasis 2’ problem than a Bias Amp issue😏 5 stars from me👍
