Audio Needed

Great app. Like the 1984 version but I listen to audio a lot so probably won’t use as often. Please consider adding audio.

Great commentary and devotionals

I primarily use this app for the devotionals, but the available free commentaries are also great and a couple of them may even be unique to this app. The only real inconvenience is the verse reference at the bottom of a devotional doesn’t take me to the Bible passage. That would be a nice feature.

Commentaries problem

Boilermakergal on

The commentaries on iPhone suddenly get message “something went wrong. This is the screen your users will see in production when an error is thrown. You’ll want to customize this message (located in ‘app/i18n/en.json’) and probably the layout as well (‘app/screens/error’). If you want to remove this entirely, check ‘app/app.thx’ for the <ErrorBoundary> component. TypeError:undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘j.data.length’) When I reset app it goes back to Bible passage.

My preferred translation

A nickname so doesn't matter on

Why does it not have complete chapters? Evidently, it does not show complete chapters (on longer chapters). Trying to read I Corinthians 9 and it stops after verse 22. Also, just to get to that chapter, I had to navigate to chapter 7 and then swipe through 8 and then 9. The navigation pane skips from 7 to 12. I do not see a way to check for updates. Can you please fix this?

Thankful

Thabkful for the 1984 NIV,it seems that every newer translation especially newer ones since 2000 have continued to water down and add “Woke generation” edits that truly obscure the content, Thanks🙏🏻.

Has one of my favorite no longer printed translations

I really like having the 1984 edition of the NIV in an app. Plus, it is a really well executed app, I only have a few desires and suggestions. It would be great if the verse of the day could be sent via a push notification, and also be available as a widget It would also be awesome if they had a darker night mode, that would have a black background with white text. On the topic of text, another open source, free font that I would suggest is the font Bitter! These are minor preferences, and certainly aren’t going to deter me from keeping using this! Thank you Bible Portal!
