Beware of this app and its sister apps for other Hawaiian islands. I downloaded three of them and deleted them once I saw their was a payment required to view them. My Apple account was still charged for all three apps.

I’ll be traveling to Hawaii soon, and looking for great places to explore. Fotospot has been my go to for a long time, and now I have so many exciting destinations on my to do list!

I was able to plan out my itinerary on the Big Island (aka Hawaii) using this streamlined travel guide. It’s great because I don’t have to use a search engine—this app will show you all the locations at a glance when you’re looking at the map. The travel guide includes not only historical landmarks, but food and culinary attractions as well.

Big Island, Hawaii by Foto-Spot

I’ve downloaded the original Foto-Spot, and I love its features (especially the free stuff feature!) But what I love most about Foto-Spot is I no longer require travel guides, brochures, and maps! Big Island, Foto-Spot steps it up by going further by allowing you to download its content, so you’ll have no worries if you lose your internet connection! With over 100 photo spot destinations, the Big Island Foto-spot includes all photos, maps, and complete descriptions in an offline guide you can access without needing a cell phone signal! Just like in the original Foto-Spot app, you can check into locations, view maps and upload your photos into the app. You can find some of these attractions in the original Foto-Spot app, but some differences exist. For one, much of the content in Big Island Foto-spot can be found only in this app and accessed without a cell signal. I was also happy to know that this was a one-time purchase (which you can buy in a bundle) and that any attraction added in the future is FREE! Aloha!

Need I say more? You'll need a lotta days to take in all the Big Island has to offer and Mahalo to Fotospot for making all the sites easy to locate and explore.

Totally worth it!

Our friends recommended this app before our trip to the Big Island. We were able to save everything we wanted to see before the trip and check off the spots we've already visited. Loved the % explored feature.
