Bike Citizens Cycling App GPS

This App is recommended by Brisbane City Cycling Brisbane but I found it almost useless. The search function can’t find any street addresses. On a positive side, the easy, balanced and fast rout options is good.

Sorry, but my former favourite cycle map app is now useless. Won’t accept the address I put in. Used to be great

Have tried to use a few times now. Keep getting error “GPS Position unknown “

This app has made it so easy for me to explore Brisbane and surroundings. It has changed my life.

Downloaded maps for Gold Coast and Brisbane. However the app isn’t able to calculate a route from Brisbane to Gold Coast which are adjacent cities. Very annoying.

This app is amazing. I ride every day in Sydney, fairly often to places I have never ridden before. Before purchasing this app, I would often end up riding on roads that made me feel quite unsafe. Since starting to use Bike Citizens, I now take quiet back routes that are just as quick, but so much more relaxing and a charming. I have even found the app to be good when riding in outer suburbs of Sydney, so it is not just the City of Sydney maps that the app is using. I highly recommend it.

I tried using the app in Brisbane, Australia, but ended up reverting to google maps. I think the routes are ok - but the quality of the experience is really lacking. The voice quality is really primitive, and it doesn’t say street names - only ‘turn left’ for example. Also not many street addresses are listed so unless you know of nearby landmarks to navigate to, pretty useless. Love the idea, but needs work...

Surprisingly good, was able to ride with headphones only. The only concern for that blind mode is a couple false directions. Especially when it’s downhill and you need to climb back. Also would be happy to see altitude graph for advised route in advance. To decide- follow it or choose easy one

Unfortunately, in Australia we need to be able to read the words on the screen... has anyone, " testers " used this app and honestly say you can clearly read words ... it is a very difficult map to use while riding a bike - even at times dangerous and frustrating ... it does provide excellent voice directions .. good bike tracks - compared to Iphone map app ..and google .. so something is right - but many updates for a 5 star rating .. keeping working on it guys .. get graphics , clearness - colours of roads wording, or text & directions need to be much much more safer to use larger . Sunlight, screen glare and phone sizes will too impair clearness of use .
