Try to login whilst in the app, brings up a become a member page, click on login and it takes you away from the app to the website.
I get both the paper and digital versions. I like to read the paper version but the digital version used to allow searching across every edition that you have access to. So if say a friend buys a ZZR1400 you could search back and read whatever bike had published mentioning ZZR1400 that you had paid for going back years. This is the only reason I get the digital version and now you can only search back a handful of editions. I did flag this up last month and had a very nice reply saying “that it is it is definitely in the backlog to refine in the future”. It used to work, now it doesn’t and I’m still paying for it. Funny kinda progress! Is anyone else cross about this?
I have raised my issues with the customer service team but they are slow to respond . The problems are: - the digital view problem means that it doesn’t always fully load correctly ( leaving many blank pages) therefore I can’t read all the content ( I don’t understand why it doesn’t fully download to my device so I can access from memory as opposed to trying to reload from the website each time I access it?) - the magazine view (there are 2 ways to view Bike via the app either digital or magazine view) problem is that some issues the magazine just won’t load up. These problems have only arisen since the new app that gives a digital view was launched. I can only assume they haven’t tested comprehensively prior to launching, very annoying!!! I also have yearly problems with my account that I have to raise with customer support and persist with until resolved. All problems have been proven to be with the Bike magazine app / system and nothing to do with my device or usage.
Since updating the app, i can no longer find the option to switch between digital media view and Magazine view. Frustrating !!
Great magazine, terrible app Issues take ages to download or download fails Pages in app look scanned in, so you can see photos that cross the fold in a magazine don't line up in the app Can expand articles to make them easier to read- but then the formatting is a mess, with pictures not lining up with text
The app has been improved upon many times now, and it’s great. Especially the black and white view, much easier for reading
Having used the app in the past I took out a new sub for this magazine. Great magazines say I haven’t created an account although I’ve had an account for several years. Tried to create a new account which does not work. I’ve now asked great magazines to change sub to hard copy, the app is useless.
Taken out a subscription for the electronic version of Bike magazine but still cannot login.
Update Tuesday 4th Jan All seems to be working again now, without need to delete the App and re-install a second time . I presume some one behind the scenes has fixed something THANK YOU! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Original review Sat 1/1/22 Great magazine and app was working fine. Downloaded the app update a few days ago and all was fine initially - I was able to download the latest Bike issue. But this eve I just end up with a blank screen, tried deleting and reloading the app but to no avail. App starts up ok but shortly after starting to “download dynamic resources” I get an error message and a suggestion to check internet connection which is fine. It looks like an issue at the server end ?or a glitch with the new app under certain conditions? Hoping this gets fixed soon
