Just Plain Awful
Complicated app, confusing user interface, symbols everywhere. No parts list for individual steps. I’ll take a complicated sheet of paper over this headache of an app. Just plain awful.

It would be so much easier and faster to give me a couple pages of install info than this insanely long overly complex and utterly useless set of videos. Why can’t I have a choice of paper or not? Plus it’s just one more app a couple pages in here to show me how to install the stuff they decided. I have to download an app.
I recently used to install a Chamberlain Garage door opener. Instructions were thorough, easy to navigate around steps and nice to be able to quickly navigate to parts list and back to instructions. Only area of difficulty was when needing to pan, zoom and move view of images around. I found myself having to reset image view many times after getting zoom and orientation so messed up that i could no longer see where i was at.
Can’t think of another way to search for the sump pump we just purchased- and it isn’t listed! Why include the app for an item that isn’t supported and waste my time?
I did not understand part of the instructions for installing a Everbilt “Sliding Door Hardware Set” so I downloaded the app and entered the product name and number in the search bar. It came back with 772 possibilities, most of which had nothing to do with sliding doors. Kids swing sets, tv cabinets, etc. I scrolled thru the 772 possibilities and did not see my product. A total waste of my time.
Not a bad review of the app, a bad review of having to get the app for basic instructions. Spent much time choosing the model of Hunter fan based on size airflow, etc. etc. Go home and install my 500th ceiling fan, and a basic assembly guide is not included. All I need to know is which pack of screws goes to what part, easy, you would think. But no, Hunter decided that everybody has to download an app and register to get instructions, I got my instructions, de-registered and deleted the app.
My child was gifted the Deluxe Wooden Kitchen and when I went to make sure all parts were there so I could put it together, there were some key parts missing so I downloaded this app to see how those parts look and the kitchen isn’t even on here AT ALL! Now how the heck does that work?? What a waste of money. That’s why instructions need to be in color for the parts. It’ll be a lot easier trying to find these in hardware stores or something. But I shouldn’t even have to buy replacement parts. You should just be able to leave a review and not be forced to even rate using a star because this app and Sam’s Club is rated a 0. This is ridiculous
Honestly much more helpful than I thought it would be! Definitely takes your battery leaving it on for a time-consuming project, but worth it!
You still need to use paper direction if you have them as I did. I’m a visual person and seeing the product in 3D and being able to move it certainly can’t hurt anyone putting something together. Not sure what some are complaining about. You can fast forward to parts of the directions if you need to pretty simple. You still have to use some common sense because not everything is perfect.
So often the assembly instructions that come with a product are written by someone whose native language is not English. Built’s instructions clarify the assembly process. My only complaint is that the voice is computer generated, so it speaks too quickly and without natural phrasing (pauses and emphasis). It is also difficult to distinguish between its pronunciation of the letter assigned to parts. For example, b/p.
