BirdRing is bedoeld voor vogelwaarnemers die kleurringen en metalen ringen aflezen voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Met BirdRing kun je eenvoudig de gegevens van je waarneming vastleggen. BirdRing helpt je met de locatie, datum, tijd en het vaststellen van de juiste ringcode. Je kunt de gegevens naar jezelf e-mailen in Excel (csv) formaat. De app kan waarnemingen uploaden naar www.geese.org, www.griel.nl en submit.cr-birding.org, als je een account hebt op die website. Je kunt dan ook direct de life history in de app bekijken.
