About this App
Birds of Africa is an identification guide which in time will cover all the birds and countries in Africa. This version includes more than 1,800 species and has all West African and 8 East African countries. It was developed as an aid to conservation and is an asset of The African Bird Club.

· In/out of range indicator and distance (km) to the nearest point of species' range from current position

2021 update enhances this spectacular app
The Birds of Africa app now completes its portfolio for West Africa, maintaining the high standards already achieved in earlier editions. The quality of photographic images is second to none, whilst information, maps and interactive functions make this outstandingly the ‘go-to’ app for those with a keen interest in African birds, from beginner to seasoned field ornithologist. The African Bird Club and the app developers deserve high praise for producing this excellent resource. It’s expansion into East and Southern Africa is already underway, and is keenly awaited!

Beautiful clear photos on this app. The descriptions and bird calls are fantastic. I’m looking forward to using it when I’m next able to travel to an African country again!
