Black Gate Mobile Reviews

Awesome!

I’ve used most cell cams on the market. I think there’s only a couple I have not used / tinkered with. I had to pick up an R4G Lite after reading reviews. So far I’m just trying it out in my back yard. Very promising results so far. I would like to share a couple opportunities for improvement: 1) Showing battery percentage would be nice, instead of just the icon. 2) There is an iPad photo scaling issue. It doesn’t show the whole image on either landscape or portrait mode. 3) The photo deletion workflow could use some improvement. After you hit delete it says “The media has been marked for removal”. Then you hit OK and then back. But it’s still showing until you pull down to refresh. It would be nice if when you hit back it would just refresh automatically to prevent any confusion. Keep up the good work!

You can’t go wrong

These cameras, by far, blow all others out of consideration. Primarily, they are not tied to a specific carrier and work excellent in the low signal rural area my property is in (Coffeeville AL). Second, picture quality rocks. Third, battery life is ridiculously amazing. Finally, setup and app…super user friendly. They’re priced appropriately and the data cost is way more than reasonable! You won’t be disappointed.

No notifications numbers on app screen but working good

New update fixed the freezing. Now if we could just get the number of photos on the badge on app home screen. As I don’t use sound notifications. Kudos blackgate. Apps getting better

Great cameras, okay app

Cameras are great, pictures are great, have zero complaints. But the app is buggy and doesn’t send notifications even when it is set to send them. Plus videos on the app are very framey. I’d just really like for the notifications to work again.

Not your average camera app

The R4G’s that I have are awesome. Yesterday I got 3 more and can’t wait to get them into the woods. The app is simple and functional. A++
