Blackboard

Didn’t use it for a week or so, so “your university requires web login”. Not a big deal, done it many times. Except the joke was on me this time. Every time I try I get an error that says, “There seems to be an issue on our side. Try again later.” Neat. So the app is useless to me.

To access my account, I have to sign in. That’s obviously acceptable. To access each document posted by my professors, I have to sign in. That’s excessive, and despite signing in (twice at this point), I’m told I don’t have permission to access the files. This only happens when using the mobile app. I can access everything just fine on web which doesn’t require multiple sign ins. The mobile version is only good for checking grades, reading announcements, and looking at discussions. None of the other features truly work or have user friendly interfaces.

I can’t see any of my courses. It appears to be loading but never actually does. Canvas is much better

This app makes it horrible to use. I do my school work on the go and it gets really frustrating when trying to do something and the app keeps logging me out constantly and then having to log back in.

There’s a lot of things about this app that make me feel like I need to find an alternative app to use, but that’s of course not possible with blackboard. That app feels like a disorganized mess. Where’s my timeline? Inbox? Alerts? Schedule? What about integration with Apple calendar? It could be better, it’s just a shame it isn’t already.

I have never seen an app that is so poorly designed and maintained in all of my life times. It crashes, loads forever, constantly needs you to delete cookies in order to debug. I honestly wish I had the time to say more, but I have to call the black board hot line AGAIN because I have to hand in a single assignment. I honestly feel bad for whoever works on this app because I don’t think if they go to other companies, they will be hired for this atrocity.

Links never work. Everytime you try and click a new link (if you want to check a grade, for example) you get this red X saying it’s a problem on their end. Please try again later. Uninstalled because what is the point? Garbage app.
