Blast Baseball

So many pop ups, interrupts, auto-running videos, etc. Basically a circa 1990s website, it’s just missing a scrolling banner and an autoplaying midi track.

Bought the $150 sensor and downloaded the app. Not going to do a sensor review because that should be done on Amazon. App is very complicated to use. Instructions always in your face but still can’t understand how to navigate. Finally got to starting a practice session with the sensor on. Swung the bat 30 times and no recorded swings came up at all, sensor fully charged and paired correctly. Hours later I get a message says I have swings to download, what? Second practice session I swing 8 times and close the app assuming that’s how it works. App fails to open for the next 3 days, clicking on it literally opens the home screen and force shuts the app. My phone is 14max, which should be supported. So the app literally stopped working after 2 usages, okay cool, worthless and incomplete.

Don’t think I should give this any stars what so ever. This thing has been a disaster from day 1. Will not connect when u want it to and I know it doesn’t keep track of swings. Only when it wants to

The app is frustrating. So much potential but does not work on a consistent basis. Many bugs in this app. They need a new development team.

Wish I could rate it 0 stars only worked once every 40 swings and didn’t help at all, a complete scam

If the app was free for premium content I wouldn’t complain. I paid for the year to see all the stats. Ball flight would track launch angle and exit velocity. All of a sudden that feature has disappeared and only works in a separate app called blast vision where they try to get an additional $9.99. Please make this part of the app as you had it before. I’m not going to pay an additional 9.99 on top of the yearly fee I already paid for.

Only works with older iPads. Bluetooth won’t turn on. Didn’t work with iPad 10.2 9th gen. Pretty sad being it works with older iPads and newer iPad Air.

You guys send me meaningless pop-ups like every day, sometimes 2-3 a day? For nothing. Why do you do that? Like you’re just reminding me your app exists? It a hitting measurement app and device, why would you think I’m gonna need a random pop up notification at a time I’m not practicing? I shut off notifications for you, is that what you were hoping to accomplish?

Great tool to track swings but app is too glitchy. Please fix.......Make sure you know how to read the data and how to make adjustments to your swings. Videos help but you need to learn more first if doing on your own.

We’ve been using Blast Motion for three years. The data sync for swings to the cloud/web is now slower than ever. We’re not even taking video and it takes days for swings to be online. The training videos haven’t been updated in years. There are more details and metrics but no explanation. For example, where is there an example of what a top score for Connection at Impact looks like. We’re going to begin to look for a better solution. Blast hasn’t invested in the right features, cloud sync, training videos, or MLB athletes using their product.
