Yes, BlinkID is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is BlinkID legit?

All images are processed on their servers. They also take selfie pictures (activating the front camera) during use. These images are also sent to their server. Check their privacy policy. DO NOT USE.
"Please note that while you are interacting with the App and scanning images with the rear camera, the App is capturing your images with the front-facing camera. While using the App, images are retained and processed on Microblink servers unless the App is used without a network connection."
iPhone 14 pro
App has trouble scanning using a brand new iPhone 14 pro. Clean lenses. California drivers license is placed on the table.
It scans the front. But does not scan the back with barcode.
Also does not scan passport. With my 2020 iPad Pro 12.9” it scanned the ID but it did not scan the passport either.
Maybe allow us to switch cameras on iPhone pro to get a better image?

I have tried several times to take photos of my 2 ID’s. And the app will not even open my camera. So thank goodness this was a free app!

Missing one thing
Great app loving being able to have everything on my phone, just missing one thing. Wish it was locked when you open the app. Wish you could use faceID or touchID or passcode to keep items secure. If someone had my phone they could just open the app and see everything
Think hard before uploading your life to this app.
All it takes is one data breach and all of your sensitive information, documents, IDs, and whatever else you uploaded to this app is available on the dark web for purchase by the highest bidder.
This app is based out of Iceland, and is not affiliated with any US state or US government entity, so think hard before giving up your personal identity to a random app on the App Store.

I just downloaded it on October 12th 2021 and I right on kept all my documents in this app, works perfectly. thanks to the creators.
Garbage doesn’t work
It scans the front of my dL like a champ but then on the back it just sits there doing nothing it doesn’t even have United States as an option
