Bloomz Reviews

Did not work effectively

nuovo-ikat on

This was a good app for receiving communication from teachers but when you tried to send a message to teachers sometimes it would switch the name on you and send it to a different teacher. I still had to email certain teachers because the app would never send the message to the right teacher (messages to an elementary teacher were going to a middle school science teacher we didn’t even have).

Not that family friendly

NikkiT009 on

United States

I’m comparing this app to other apps I’ve had to use. First, bloomz doesn’t let me use one profile for multiple kids, so I’ve had to sign up under a new email for each child. The text links do not automatically take you to the app where you can use the code it just takes me to the last place I was in the app. It would be a pain for a parent with 3+ kids if each of their teachers ended up using bloomz at same time since you would have to sign in with a different email for each kid. Second, I have to sign out and sign back in when switching to another child’s profile which is time consuming. I don’t want to sit on my phone and keeping signing into /flipping through different tabs in the app. It’s not as straightforward, but I’ll have to deal with it. Third, the UI isn’t simple enough. With other teacher apps, sending a dm to the teacher is very easy. Here, I have to navigate where to send a message then type the teachers name in the search bar and also make sure I’m not sending my message to 22 other teachers. My suggested apps that are easy for everyone to use are REMIND or TALKING POINTS. You’re welcome.

Messaging feature is frustrating

cmoll520 on

United States

My son’s camp is using this app and I really cannot recommend it. We have used all sorts of apps with our kids through school and none are as frustrating to navigate. The messaging feature works when it wants to. Sometimes it will not let me message at all. Sometimes it will only let me send a group message to all 56 families. Sometimes it works ok. We are supposed to message when we arrive for pick up and rarely will it pull up correctly for me to do so. The pictures also don’t all load so we miss out on seeing what our kids are up to all week. The announcements are also not displayed in an easy to use/see format. And just overall navigation of the app is frustrating- perhaps because the camp isn’t using all of the features. Regardless there are far better apps out there!

Not easy to set up

kayjjaybee on

Made an account. Requested permission to be accepted to the class through the app. Got notification from the school that I was given access, used the code they sent to my email, now it says I can’t use the code because it is linked to a different email.

Stuck in email verification loop

Sana8213 on

United States

Created an account. Got verification email with a link which sends me back to the app login page. When I login it tells me to verify email. Tried creating a new account but of course I can’t because I already have an account.

So over this app!

Hoop671 on

As a teacher, I paid $125 to use this service for this school year. This app is so glitchy! When trying to send messages on my phone to my classroom parents, it constantly catches me in some weird loop where I cannot edit nor can I send the message I’m writing. This is beyond frustration. Please fix.

Bad App

Terrible app, very hard to view child’s information. Very half done app

Glitchy

TaraD** on

I cannot stand this app. It’s so glitchy. Things get hidden and lost. If it’s a lengthy update, it gets cut off. I have to scroll and scroll to find what I’m looking for. It frequently won’t let me back to the top of a reply if I need to edit it. I don’t see messages for days, sometimes. As a parent, I wish our school would go back to the old app.

No Bloomz parent app?

valmitch55 on

United States

I need to download the parents app to Bloomz on my IPhone 14 but it seems that the only Bloomz app available here in the App Store is the Bloomz teacher& school app. Why would a developer only add 1 without the other? The two should go together. Kinda inconvenient for us parents.

Need to be able to easily delete messages

KG24* on

United States

App is okay but what I find not useful are: - messages sent from other parents that come to everyone and you can’t delete them. Or if you can, it’s not easily done. - app crashes at times
