Stay Updated from Anywhere
Love being able to keep up with local events from anywhere with an Internet connection. Audio quality is excellent, app is well designed to work even when your device goes into screen saver mode. Good job!
No hourly news roundup
Theres no hourly news roundup on demand like there was in the old NPR app. If I could switch back to the old NPR app I would.
Mountain reception issues, solved
This app is everything! I love that I can now have my favorite station on the go! Regardless of where I am, Blue Ridge Public Radio is with me!
Best dog walking app
Walking my dog is so much better when I can listen to the news or one of the great NPR shows. BPR is my go-to station in my car so I am thrilled that I can listen any time I want.
Stops playing randomly, often multiple times a morning
Really unstable. This morning it’s stopped 5 times and required force quitting twice. It’s been stationary and near wifi the whole time.

Use this all the time on the road
Seriously the least reliable app on my phone.
Through every version of this app, the BPR radio player is consistently unreliable. Every morning it will drop out and stop playing within a few minutes of the start. It is difficult to start with and stop requiring several tries. It keeps playing after the app has been swiped closed. And if you do want to play Podcasts, be careful not to pause because it forgets where you are and starts the podcast all over again when you go to restart.
