I absolutely love this ap and it was soo easy to use and download I wish I had found it before
Sadly still doesn’t work with epub3 fixed layout books.
I have tried different readers and I have found this to be the best
I've been using Bluefire for ages, and it's been handy enough. I'd used it as an alternative to iBooks for a smaller set of books which I kept there. But now they've gone and updated it so that all those books are gone - and it’s no longer possible to use Bluefire on any iPas running earlier iOS than 13, which most of the ones my family uses can't use it. Normally when a app is updated the older version is still available. Goodby Bluefire. And I know this review won't be on the site.
I used to love this app for reading library books on my phone, but since upgrading my phone I’ve been completely unable to get it to work with DRM protected books, despite being logged in to my library-associated Adobe ID both on the PC I’m transferring from and my new phone. No error message, the books just won’t show up at all in the app, even though they appear in the file list in iTunes. I’m not sure if it’s an updated version of the app and I’d been using an older one on my previous phone, but I’ve tried everything I can think of and nothing has worked. Gutted.
I have tried them all and for precision, easy to use, and adjustable fonts spacing etc this app can’t be bettered.
First of all, this app doesn’t synchronise between devices. I appreciate that it doesn’t claim to, but it is a major flaw. Secondly, I don’t know what the storage limit is, but I’ve added around fifty books and it won’t add any more because it says it’s data volume is full. The memory of my device is nowhere near full, so the app does clearly have a limit of its own.
I actually preferred this app to the standard books app and thought it was good value for the price but it is totally unusable for me as a lot of my books have pictures and this app puts the pictures on top of the words and on top of each other etc. Developers: is there a fix for this??
I have been recommended this app by a friend also exasperated how Books is treating him from a user experience point of view. I find it unacceptable that I have to create another account simply to read my books if they’re DRM protected. And this is after paying for the app because this is mentioned nowhere in the app description. I suppose devs think we’re so used to handing out our data nowadays that it wouldn’t matter. Well, it does. Uninstalled and refunded.
