This used to be my go to app for writing stories and storing important notes and it was so great and so customizable. But now the creators have gone money hungry or something every single time you enter a note or exit it, it loads an ad! Which makes it extremely painful and infuriating to use especially if you have a lot of folders and you have to go back and forth to edit or add details. Not only loads of ads, but some times the ads’s cancel/x button is all the way out of range where you can’t click it. What kind of dirty trick is that? Thank god I didn’t buy the full version of this because apparently according to some other reviews it just forgets the purchased version and you are back in ads land again. They also raised the price from 12.99 cad to 17.99. Talk about greedy and ineffective. I would have gladly given this app money considering I have used it for years and years—if it had actually worked, but it just seemed like the creators didn’t care about user experience and only care about money…shame. I now just use apple’s notes app now and it’s better than this.

J’aimais beaucoup cette application mais depuis je la classe 1/10 ( en date 6-24) Motif : trop de publicité et en plus on est dans l’obligation d’écouter ces pub jusqu’au bout Donc plus intéressé d’être obliger d’écouter entre 1 et 2 min avant de pouvoir utiliser cette application Si celui qui a fait cette application pourrait corriger cette lacune - ce serait merveilleux Merci !

I purchased this app and PAID for it through the Apple Store from my iPhone to avoid ads. I used this app for everything. It’s great! I’d give it a five star however purchasing it does not make you able to avoid the intrusive ads which are back and very distracting. Very loud and long and embarrassing when you’re in a meeting looking for a quick note when you’re doing a presentation. If you can locate an alternative app, you might be wise to go there for it. Unless they drop the ads once paid for.

Used to love this and paid for the full app to avoid the ads - then suddenly after a few years the ads came back for no reason. There is no ability to contact them. Do not pay for full version.

I’ve used it for years and it was ideal. Now, there’s a glitch that prevents me from selecting text. Very annoying in a note app. I contacted them but did not receive a response. I’m in the process of switching to a different app. The email for them doesn’t exist now.

I purchased Blue Lines a while ago. I updated the app and now it wants me to pay again, even after I tried the ‘restore purchase’ function. It’s supposed to be a ‘one time’ purchase. 😞

I lost all the notes since my backup in November for no apparent reason. The app glitched and wouldn't load properly. If you use this app, use the backup feature super frequently, not just before updating the app. TO RESTORE: click "Backup Reminder!" Then click "Reload". It will ask if you want to replace your existing notes with the ones saved in your iCloud account. Do that. (If you have any new notes, save them elsewhere and recreate them afterwards.) For posterity... Everything I had was erased in an update. Some kind of warning in the update would have been helpful. Super angry about this - how is it that the app remembers the password I set but has lost ALL my notes? It's great that the new version has a backup feature with prompts. Too bad you didn't prompt people to back up their notes before releasing this update. PLEASE FIX. I am not deleting the app yet, I hope it is something reversible. The lack of acknowledgement of this problem in the subsequent updates causes me to leave a 3-star rating. If the developers had described the problem and how to fix it in their update releases, I would have given 4 stars because I love so much else about this app. (Still not 5 because this problem never should have happened in the first place, especially not without warning.)

I have used bluelines for a few years to keep personal information. But with the latest update when I checked the app to find a note, everything was gone. Somehow the backup function deleted all my personal information.

This app gives me stress when it’s updated to new version as it erased all my important notes!

I’ve been using this app for years now. I bought a lot of upgrades and I have annoying ads popping up. Now I’m expected to pay yet again to stop these ads.
