App is really hard to use
I only have one device on my blynk account and when I try to use it on my iPhone, I get a pop-up saying I need to go to Pro. It’s just a simple LED on off switch circuit. It does work on the webpage on my PC.
Thanks for making things easier for us makers. 🙂
I just installed this and quickly found it knows nothing about an UNO WiFi R3, instead asking me which shield I have. I faked it, got the sample code from the website, and got compiler errors, can’t find PinStatus. No guidance from Blynk, of course.
The app is nice. It’s clean, simple, and easy to use. But a monthly subscription? C’mon. Then it’s absolutely forced on the users to upgrade or be limited to all of what? Like 3 buttons? I refuse to be slapped with a paywall, and definitely not a $50/$90 monthly paid subscription.
click the button and it let me download the app but I had already done it
The app itself looks really good though I did even try and use it. After seeing most widgets showed they required the Pro level I thought I would try the Maker level subscription hoping they would be enabled but still have a lower user limit. But sadly several were not. Didn’t look like it would be a too big a deal until I noticed pages were not available. Well that’s a show stopper for me. I don’t understand your business model. Makers will not be converting to Pros, it’s a complete different market and far too expensive for hobbyists/makers. So you have limited the functionality for makers who will be the ones to come up with creative applications and show off your product that might in turn attract users at the Pro level. Someone is either going to need a lot of users or they are not, it’s not going to be the restrictions, beyond the user limit, that motivates them to the next tier. So I cancelled my one month subscription a couple of minutes after seeing the lack of pages and I will find a different solution. Let me know if you come to your senses and drop these pointless limits.
Server is down on iphone and android
Tried 2.0 again. Can’t even make it though a single device setup. The old Blynk worked always. It refuses to connect to cloud server on port 80 or 8080. The help on that subject is terrible. Says to call your ISP.
Blynk continues raising the bar for all IoT platforms for many years. There is just nothing else so easy, beautiful, and intuitive. Built many personal and commercial projects - always a success! Thank you, guys!
