Bome’s stuff just works. Midi flying all over the place here! Well done!
I’ve built a complex midi network of 2 keyboards, synth module, midi control pedal (12 keys), drum pedal, multi-effect modulation pedal, vocal processor, the legendary BomeBox microcontroller and an iPad. I’m using BomeBox and the companion Bome Midi Translator Pro application to build completely customized midi behavior for my keyboard rig. I had previously used the RTP Midi capabilities of my iConnectivity MioXM “midi router.” Due to some of the vagaries of the iPad implementation of Apple’s Bonjour protocol, RTP Midi between the MioXM and iPad was not very reliable. In came Bome Software and Bome Network for IOS to the rescue. This app instantly and reliable establishes a network midi connection to the BomeBox. With that device fully networked to my midi gear, I have rock-solid communication between iPad apps like Camelot Pro, PatchBase and forScore, and my midi network. I can’t say enough good things about this app and the support I’ve received from Bome. All of the Bome products are thoroughly professional products for the musician who relies on Midi. Awesome!
