Bonhams FAQ
Is Bonhams free?
Yes, Bonhams is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Bonhams legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Plentiful app with some sought after vehicles and good layout. BIG criticism that surely drives every user mad: once the next display of vehicles have loaded, if you click into a vehicles description or star and go back to the display of vehicles, it resets your viewing to the top of the page. Please, please can this be sorted?
Great cars but user interface is awful
Love the cars, love the descriptions and love the detailed photography (not to mention the video which always includes exhaust notes), BUT the user interface is rubbish. When you scroll down it has to wait and load more cars so you bounce off the bottom of the list frequently, then if you ‘star’ a car it takes you back to the top of the list and you have to scroll back to where you were. Same with going into a car-specific page: when you return to the main list it pushes you back to the top and you are back to scrolling down pages and pages. Car screens load a false page to start with that shows no detail and then after a wait you might get more photos and a description. Video auto plays, and often restarts if you scroll away and back again so the music is then out of sync and plays over the bit where you start the engine.
It would be great to have some more filters on the main page so you could search for marques or guide price brackets.
Could you show the guide price bracket on the main page listings alongside the bid level?
Annoying viewing experience
You cannot view a car from the list of auctions and go back to where the car was on the list. If keeps bringing you back to the first car on the list so you have to scroll down and find where you were each time.
Great app BUT
Please remove this horrible scrolling assist. It’s awful to browse the list since that change.
Good app with niggles
Great app, there are still boggles you haven’t managed to sort out yet though.
1) videos continue playing after closing
2) when adding to favourites the app flips back to the beginning meaning…. Scrolling scrolling scrolling = tedious
3) notifications not being sent
4) zooming onto pictures doesn’t always reset = restart app to reload = tedious
When cars are re-auctioned adding a history would be a great benefit.
Good Presentation but Poor App Construction
Not enough detail in the summary listing, e.g. mileage is usually missing. Navigating back from the detailed page flips you back in the summary list making the app tedious to use.
Good app but crashes all the time.
It is good to see an auction house offering a good, well laid out app like this.
The primary drawback is that the app keeps crashing after looking at only a couple of photos within a listing or in the middle of writing a comment.
Hopefully there will be a bug fix update soon to remedy this.
Bought two cars
Great experience both times from start to finish. Honest reviews of the cars and great photos.
