Description

Book Track is an iPhone, iPad, and Mac app that can track your books — both the ones you own and the ones you hope to own in the future.

Avid readers know how difficult it can be to keep tabs on a growing book collection and that's where Book Track comes into its own by making it quicker and easier than ever to track your reading. Not only can you track all of the books that you own, as well as how far you've read, but you can also keep a wishlist of the books that you'd like to pick up in the future. Whether a book is in your 'Library' or your 'Wishlist,' Book Track displays information and gorgeous cover art for all of them. While Book Track uses information from the internet, more obscure books can also be added manually, too.

Book Track is a free app and is limited to 5 books. A single in-app purchase unlocks support for unlimited books across iPhone and iPad. A separate purchase is required to unlock the full Mac app.

Book Track users can look forward to:

- A synchronized list of books and information — whether you save a book on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, it'll be synced across all devices. Both your Library and Wishlist will be synced seamlessly and automatically so you'll never lose a book again — or buy the same book twice because you forgot you already own it!

- Easy and comprehensive book organization — Every book you add to your Library can be marked as read, reading, or unread, with each book also supporting tags to help you find similar books throughout your collection. Book information like title, author, description, publisher, year of publication, genre, and even the description can also be edited to make your Library as accurate or personal as possible.

- Quote saving — Find a passage within a book that you want to save for later? Book Track can save your favorite quotes in one place so you can read them again later. You can even put them on your Home screen using a widget.

- All the stats, right where you'll see them — Book Track collects library and reading statistics and puts them right on your Home screen with gorgeous widgets. iPad users can enjoy an extra large widget with even more stats, too!

- Support for importing books from services like Goodreads, BookBuddy, Reading List, and more — It's never been easier to import your books from other apps and services so you don't have to start building your library all over again. Book collections can also be exported to PDF and CSV as well.

- Deep integration with iOS and macOS — Book Track includes support for the latest Apple features including Shortcuts and Siri, while Widgets can be used to put your favorite quotes right onto your Home screen.

- Privacy — Book Track doesn't collect any of your personal data and doesn't track you in any way. Books should be fun, not another reason to worry about your data privacy.

A fantastic book tracking app that just keeps getting better

Quendi3022 on

Reading is very important to me, and this app is the perfect companion for me to manage the books I have read, the books I am reading and the books that I want to read. I have used Book Tracker for years, and it just keeps getting better and better. Audiobook support, rereading support and quality Shortcuts support are some of the features that I use all the time that have been added since I started using the app. This is a perfect example of an independent app being so much better than the mainstream competition.

Excellent app

This is a wonderful app to track books! However, there is one little problem: I cannot adjust the order of labels when managing series, tags, categories and others. I hope that this problem can be fixed to make a more perfect app!

Great little book catalogue

It took me a while to figure out how it all worked as there’s no help file but once you get your head around it it’s really very good! I like that I can use it on all my devices and my Mac too, which makes for easy editing of book entries like cover art etc. the UI is clean and simple and it’s easy to customise just what you want to see. Import from csv is easy so no problem getting your books in from kindle or audible or goodreads. Cheap too considering how well it works and that there’s just one (very helpful) developer.

Brilliant app & good Oct 2023 update

Love this virtual library. Recent update has also fixed what was an annoying quirk if you happened to be reading more than one book at same time. Can now see them all listed and their progress. Thanks

Best Book Tracking App

I’ve tried a few different book tracking app but this one is by far the best. Native Swift UI is beautiful. Barcode scan and search to add to library or wish list works really well. Lots of features of track your reading progress of a book if that’s your thing. Ability to mark a book as loaned out and add who you’ve loaned it to. This app is excellent.

Exceptional

I’d started to create a spreadsheet to catalogue my books when I thought there must be an app to make this easier. I had no idea that this app would do all I needed and much more. I’ve now logged 200 of my books in record time and I’m loving the ease of use and the fact that I can add my book image if the one dragged from the internet is different due to different or updated publications. I’ve recommended the app all over my socials and I NEVER do that unless it’s fantastic. Thank you for creating this, I’ve finally got my own library and a means of keeping track.

The best book / reading tracker app I’ve used

Olivia.Rosaria on

Would 100% recommend this app if you’re looking for an alternative to Goodreads. After many years of frustration with Goodreads and other similar services I gave up and just used an Excel sheet to track my reading. That was until I found this app. What I’m loving: 1.Being able to have a record of all the books in my house. 2.Ease at which I can add books and edit things like the cover. 3.Easily being able to track pages read each day. 4.Being able to record repeat reads. 5. Wish list feature. The few things I wish I could change: 1. I wish there was a way to record library books read and keep them seperate from books owned. 2. I wish there was a bundle option to get the phone and PC apps together. Even if it was just a 10% discount. Or even a read only option for PC so I could look at my stats but only edit them on my phone.

The best book tracker I’ve tried!

I am so glad I found this app, it does everything I need and love that it even has widgets for my Home Screen. I love the simple design and how user friendly it is. The developer is also super quick to respond when I’ve had any problems and they’re resolved really quickly! Paid the lifetime fee almost immediately, feels great to support a smaller app developer ❤️

New formatting

Very fun to play addictive too on

I received an update to the app today and the method of updating pages read for a book is much more difficult than the old way, the old way was much more user friendly than this. It’s just way more complicated now

Working well so far
