I am blind and autistic, and I just started using this app yesterday. It is an amazing app! My favorite books on this app are Caillou and I also love that you can hear the sound to turn the page in some books. I also like it much better than epic because it doesn’t edit out parts of the book like epic does. honestly an amazing app! I haven’t figured out how to use a lot of the features yet on it with the interactive stories, but I am still learning. I like the quality of the stories. A lot better. The way that they are is a lot better and the books don’t act funny as much as the ones on epic do. I love epic, but it doesn’t work very well on iOS in the Books app kind of funky. For me who is blind and autistic. I have no patience For that especially now that I’m getting older. I want apps where the books will just work and they won’t act funny. This app is great and I love that it has more sound effects. Please add more books for older kids. and on a more positive note with the other features, I love that they are actual quality audiobooks, like listening to a cassette tape or an audiobook from Apple Books, or one of those other apps. And to be fair, I would use this along side. Epic not to replace it. it is very easy to use once you figure it out and I would use this more for either non-fiction or experience stories. I meant that I would use it more for fiction. And keep up the good work, and please add more care characters. Oh my gosh like farther, or one of those. I also think Franklin is a good one too. Since I wrote this review a year ago to a couple years ago, I am having a new issue with it where when I press the reads section tab on the app and I try to scroll it won’t let me. When it does, it doesn’t play any sound. There’s only sound if I enter into an actual book and enter read to me mode. Please fix because I like the scroll feature and being able to score through and listen to books. Also the section does this thing where it will take me back to the home screen on my iPad or iPhone. It’ll basically kick me off of the app. Please fix.
Narrator rescue
The Read to Me feature is what sold this app to me. I feel that I'm not the best narrator and some days I am even too tired to read aloud. So this feature is there to rescue me when I can't do it.
Nice app features
This app offers a vast selection of children's books and narrated novels, while creating incredible reading experiences for kids thanks to all its nice features.
Storytime joy
Our 2 year old son absolutely looks forward to story time when he goes for a nap or to bed and it's all thanks to this app. Thanks to whoever came up with this idea.
Where are the Russian language stories?
Were Russian stories removed?
I downloaded this app for the stories in Russian. I will be coming back and rate the app again once Russian is available.
Immediate enjoyment
The user experience provided by this app is definitely enjoyable, and this is something I can say not only for me and my partner but also our daughter, who always has a great time with it.
More than print
This app has a library much larger than what we could ever afford, so in that aspect it already surpasses the traditional approach of using printed books, but the app is much more than that.
Nightly Story Picks
My kids have been using this app for quite some time. They love the stories that come with it and look forward to picking one to read each night.
Engaging voice storytelling
The illustrations are great and they each have a lesson to learn at the end. Also, I love the voices used to tell the stories and my 2 yo seems to like them too.
Extra features over print
Much better than using printed books due to all the extra features this app has to offer and also way cheaper considering the vast library at your disposal.
