I’m not one to normally write a review but this app is so, so, so bad that I feel I must insist to BOQ that they immediately fire all the people involved in the creation of this abomination all the way to Head of Digital. It cannot be understated how spectacularly bad this app is and how excruciatingly frustrating an experience it is to try and use it. Not only is the lack of functionality embarrassing at level I’ve never before experienced, but usability is like you’re on one of those hilarious Japanese game shows designed to humiliate and injure people. I don’t use the app very often for all these reasons but BOQ seem to have now added a new “onboarding” experience when you launch the app to showcase the new “features”. This set of welcome screens is like an escape room puzzle without an exit and impossibly frustrating “features” like screens where the next button is unreachable because the screen scrolling snaps back. It’s unfathomable to think to that this is merely incompetence or lack of testing. This sort of spectacular lack of usable functionality can only be explained by this being a deliberate prank…but April fools is over now, BOQ. Did you forget to put the real app back again?

On my iPad 9, I have to restart the app twice as the first time you can’t access the password field. Then when you do finally get in, the page won’t scroll so you can’t see the bottom of the page. You can’t view or change the amount of transactions per page. This is pretty ordinary stuff that any app developer can fix. Is no one looking at this feedback at BOQ or are we wasting our time. Please fix these basic faults.

I have written to the bank trying to give them feedback on this app. No answer from them and no improvement in this application. Surely they can update the app with the feedback they receive and our deposits?

Don’t waste your time with the app, No FaceId compatible. Keep accounts page open when u close the app : So right there is a massive security flaw .. poor so poor ..,

Of the ½ dozen or so finance apps on my iPhone (CommBank, AusSuper, Spaceship, Up, Revolut etc.), this app is the only one that doesn’t use biometric access !! And since upgrading iOS to v16.7 the app launches to a black screen and freezes. Come on - you can do better !

Worse than using the mobile website. When you can make a good app for myqld, why can’t you make a good one for this app?

Im writing this review in September 2023, not 2003. There are so many other issues which cost my time. I cannot believe Im spending my time writing this review. I wonder what will take for BoQ to upgrade this app. In my view, the most critical downfall of this app is the fact that it does not let people to schedule Bpay payments. With this app, I have to pay my bills 4 weeks in advance & lose opportunity to reduce home loan interest (or earn interest) during that time. Others have already pointed out other issues of this app 2 years ago, and BoQ is not listening.

App keeps crashing. I get half way through a transaction and then the site crashes and takes me back to the sign on page. Then I try to type in the text box and nothing happens . Terrible unuser. friendly site for a big bank. How about using some of your profits to fix up your online banking app for your customers.

This bank app serves its purpose effectively for me; however, it's disheartening that it lacks inbuilt security features. In today's rapidly advancing digital landscape, where cyber threats are rampant and hacking has become a common concern, it's imperative that such apps incorporate robust security measures to safeguard users' financial information.
