Bosch EasyControl FAQ
Is Bosch EasyControl free?
Yes, Bosch EasyControl is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Bosch EasyControl legit?
⚠️ The Bosch EasyControl app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Generally - when it works it’s brilliant. However, when it doesn’t work - when there are app system outages (which seems to happen fairly regularly) - and in the event that you have child locked all your radiator devices (because you have small children or share your house with others) it means you can’t access or control the heating. I have had heating stuck on for days because it’s impossible to control when this happens. The central technical desk only works Mon-Fri so you have no way of checking when this is happening and there is no warning. Intensely frustrating.
Also - no way of looking at all the room devices from the central control; and no way of forcing it to shut down between certain hours (eg at night) - see my previous comment
No connection since update
Was working ok until last update - now no connection from App to Thermostat. Been through all the usual troubleshooting steps. Contacted Bosch via email a week ago and no response whatsoever - very poor in this day and age.
Rarely works
This app is really bad. Tried all morning to log in and error messages keep coming up. Reset the password numerous times and still get error messages. This happens frequently- it works for a few months then just stops for no reason. An app is a great idea for when you are away from home, but only when it works. In this day of technology you would expect better than this. Seriously letting the brand name down
Pretty happy but an ask
We added this to our existing Bosch gas boiler a couple of years ago. It was annoying to have to hard wire it to the boiler (and does a sparky do this or a Bosch engineer? You actually need both…). Anyway, we have no Wi-Fi thermostat rad valves, just normal TRVs. System works very well for us, no problems connecting to it from phone. ONE ASK - please add a function to the App to permit a +1 hour boost for the hot water only.
Thanks
Push notifications stopped working with latest update.
The most useful feature, being told when there’s a problem with your boiler, now doesn’t work. I don’t know how they keep finding new ways to break this app, but they do.
Mr Annoyed
How about a button on the app where we can turn the heating off , instead of obfuscating the whole process.
Heating - on/off
Simple
Pointless latest update
So tired of having this app log out, or crash pretty much every time I use it. This has been going on for a year now, ever since we had the Bosch boiler installed. Big mistake.
Perfect
Bosch easy control has always worked perfectly for me. Never dropped connection once. Been using for over a year now. With Bosch greenstar lifestyle boiler 35kW. I also have superb 500Mb cable WiFi. Maybe this is the issue for some?
More bugs
In this new version you cannot enter the price of gas per kilowatt hour so none of the bars have any meaning and touching killer what hours or price doesn’t work because there’s no information there because you can’t change it where as in the old version you could change those. This app just gets worse.
Version 5 seems to have bugs
Worked rather well, since installing in Feb 2024, however new version seems to have bugs which make you loose connectivity when creating and amending new clock schedules. Please fix as soon as possible.
