Bosch Security Manager Reviews

Too cumbersome to even login to

If using this to manage an alarm system, you have to press too many buttons to even get to the alarm and I use FaceID and a password manager app. It takes 12 button presses to get to the alarm, and it won’t even let you disarm it. 1st I unlock my smartphone with my PIN or Face ID, next I open the app, that should be all authentication needed to access the alarm but no, there’s several more steps. Now the BSM app has to authenticate my SingleKey account so I press the button to sign in to SingleKey which open a page where I enter my email address and password. I use a password manager so I only need to press one button to fill my email address, then I press Next button. Now I can enter my password for SingleKey with one press again by using my password manager, then I press the Continue button. Now I’m authenticated to the app, but I still haven’t authenticated to my actual alarm system. Next I have to choose my alarm panel and then enter my user code to authenticate to the actual alarm panel. Now I can control my alarm, arm and disarm…unless the system is having an alarm, then the Disarm commands DON’T WORK. I talked to Bosch about this and was told it is a security feature to prevent remote disarming. After all that authentication, I should be able to disarm the alarm system from the app. With the latest smart phone, using faceid and a password manager, I still have to press 12 buttons to access the alarm system, and I can’t even disarm it. This app needs to be trashed and started over, it’s not usable.

Very Disappointing App

The app takes 2-3 minutes to load and connect each time. Every time the app is launched it requires that the user enter email address and password just to login to the account. Then another 20-30 seconds till the actual system login screen comes up. After entering the system login code, it’s another 15-20 seconds till the control panel comes up. I can’t edit the call priority list from the app or the website, I have to call the alarm company during business hours for that.

Fix the sign in

Please fix the app from forcing a sign in every time. Takes way too long to control my alarm system.

It works that’s all.

This is one of the clunkiest apps I have ever seen from such a huge company. I mean it does work but just. It makes me sign into app every time I close it and I don’t me just put in your security code but actually do a sign in to even get to that point. Takes about a minute to get to where you can control security system. Other than that it’s fine. Once signed in I feel like it should go to the access passcode screen every time the app is opened rather than a forced sign in every time.
