Boxes Reviews

Awesome!!!

Perfect for moving and for cataloging the contents of storage areas. I may even use it to inventory the food in my deep freezer. Printing labels on-demand is amazing. I like that you can create custom label layouts. The “manifest” feature is great… allows you to print a list of all boxes for a room and their contents… the developers on this app have done a great job.

So far an Excellent app and Great Response Service for questions.

Boxes is helping me get organized. I am new to this app and I had a few questions and received a quick response. Looking forward to a few tweaks for printing the manifest. But overall I am really loving this app. I have purchased the Lifetime service. We have a lot to organize. 😊

Great app for moving and awesome for general storage

This is almost exactly what I wanted! It lets you add pictures, qr or nfc tags and create spaces etc. a few things that would make it a 5 1. The dashboard isn’t helpful if you bought the app and honestly that information should be in settings. I want the dashboard to show me stuff like packed vs unpacked boxes, as well as spaces with no boxes and an overall progress tracker. This should be something you can reset when done. 3. empty box tracking (with the ability to tell when no items are in a box). 4. A few more colors, (like brown) 5. Ability to pin boxes so when a move is over you can archive it but keep storage bins. 6 sub divide task list 7. Share with people so you can assign tasks and not have to share your password to share with family.

Almost perfect

I love this app but I would like them to add two factor authentication to it for security purposes.

OrganizedADHD

I started using the Boxes app to get a handle on my chaotic storage situation, seasonal decor, kids’ stuff, random house clutter and now I don’t know how I ever functioned without it. It’s like giving my brain a digital backup. Every bin, every tote, every shelf in my house is logged in the app. So when someone asks, “Where’s the sled pump?” or “Do we have extra extension cords?” I just pull out my phone, search it, and instantly know exactly where it is. No digging, no guessing, no opening 14 bins in the basement. What really sold me though? The customizable labels. They’re so clean, minimal, and easy to print and they actually make my bins look organized instead of just… contained chaos. The app and the physical labels work seamlessly together. If you’re trying to organize your home and your brain at the same time, this app is your secret weapon. I genuinely hope more people find it so it sticks around forever.

Incredible App

I rarely write reviews but the functionality of this app made me want to shout it from the rooftops. The creators really addressed so many challenges faced in complex moves and storage. I immediately found the value and signed up for the lifetime $29 unlocking. Now, I pray they keep this app forever.

LOVE! But as a military family that moves a lot, I have some suggested updates!

I love love love this app, it’s been SO helpful! I love that you can take pictures of your items within the app, it’s genius and makes everything so much quicker! That being said there are some things I wish I could do that currently aren’t an option: 1. Send pictures found in my camera roll to the app (instead of having to open the app and select “add image from library” and find the image again) - that way I can scroll back in my camera roll to pictures I took during previous moves and link those same images into the app. This would be awesome for any items that have multiple images associated with them too! I also wouldn’t be tempted to just take a new picture of the item within the app. 2. Multiple photos for one item - or even just the option to add a note to a specific item! This would be helpful to note serial numbers/model numbers/etc. I like to take a pic of the serial number and the item and I use the app Picsew to merge the two together. Having the option to include more than one photo would negate this step entirely. It’s also helpful for military families because we take some pretty in depth pictures of our furniture before each move - all four sides, pictures of any marks that were already on the furniture, etc. This would make the claims process much easier! 3. I wish I could have a section just for items that aren’t yet in a box - my current makeshift solution for this is to have a box with the alias “AAA - Not In Box Yet,” which allows me to keep it at the top of my list of boxes, where I can find it easily. In this box I list the item with a picture linked to it. I then copy and paste that item to whatever box it eventually is packed in - but I still have to go back and delete the item from “AAA - Not In Box Yet.” I wish this process could be streamlined a bit, giving us the option to select a specific item and “move to” a different box / create a new box for it to go into. To be clear, I’m NOT suggesting getting rid of the copy/paste function, but giving us another option in addition to this!! 4. On the topic of copy and pasting items - I love this feature because sometimes I have a “box” which is actually just a specific item (ex. Coffee Table). For example, I’d just make the box alias “120 - Coffee Table” and have the only item in the box be “Coffee Table” and link a picture of the coffee table fully assembled to that item. Then I add any additional photos (ex. Pic of it disassembled, pic of it wrapped up in moving blanket with i

Moving Game Changer

This is my umpteenth move and I usually hate moving, which is still true, but this app is making packing so much easier! And unpacking is going to be that much smoother. It’s super easy to use, generating labels and printing them is simple and the best features are being able add a photo and search through your manifest. Highly recommend! I plan to continue using this app after moving to organize storage/holiday items etc. it’s going to be so nice!

Great App

galonso on

This app fits the bill in helping you organize and pack your move. I know what’s in each box and most importantly it’s easy to use. Other SW looked promising but either were difficult or required you to use their expensive labels. I can by standard labels at a fraction of the cost. The print features are very smart and simple.

Unfortunate Redesign

AMWKWM on

United States

I’ve always felt this app was one of the best apps available. I have not used it in a while and now discovered that it’s been extensively redesigned. I am unable to determine how to even print the label I need because there’s no instructions to understand how to use the features that they changed. Furthermore, not only do they want me to pay for using the app, they want to spy/track what I’m putting in the boxes. Tracking my contents is unacceptable. I will try to use it as little as possible now and will no longer include a picture of the contents.
