It all began in 1927 with a founding of a Club with the rather unimaginative name of “The New Club Ltd.” at Sewree on reclaimed land belonging to the “Port Trust”, the same year as Ryder Cup was inaugurated. The Ground was marshy, over grown with weeds and it was difficult to cut the long grass. With time changing with a lot of efforts, the Course kept on improving and thus the “Bombay Presidency Golf Club Ltd” attracted not only Golfers but also industrialists, who patronize very often.\n\nNestled in the Suburbs of Chembur, Offering an 18 Hole Golf Course on 85 acres of land providing smooth and fast Greens and Rolling fairways, Practice area, few Water Bodies, Flood lit course for late comers, BPGC has grown over the years into a Premier Club of Mumbai Located in the Eastern Suburbs of Mumbai – Chembur. 30 minutes’ drive from the Airport and 45 minutes’ drive from south Mumbai, it is well connected by road and local trains with all suburbs of great city of Mumbai.\n\nToday the Club has undergone a total revamp of philosophy and concept of operations, upgraded to 5 star luxuries; it boasts of 4 star comforts and is the pride of Mumbai. BPGC is a Golf paradise for Golfers.\n\nA well-equipped Pro Shop is available in the Club premises. The club has retained services of qualified Golf Professionals to teach the game to beginners and hone the game of regulars. Our Club now boasts of 2000 members.\n\nThe Club conducts around 30 in-house golf tournaments in a year; some of them being categorized All India Tournaments.\n\nThe peak season for Golf in Mumbai is October to June every year.\n\nGolf is a honourable game, with the overwhelming majority of players being honorable people who don’t need referees.\n\nWe are proud to announce that many celebrities patronise our Golf Course very often and great golfers namely Nick Faldo & Colin Montgomery have appreciated our course after playing on it.\n\nFrom the moment one checks in at the BPGC he/she will feel part of something special.\n\nWhether for business or pleasure every one of us always enjoys a home away from home.
