Thank you! I have tried other free code editors and compilers for iPad, but yours is the best. Please keep it free. I did not play much with the editor and compiler but, the look, feel and smoothness is great! Keep this alive.Thank you again.
Open the app... check! Click “+” to create a new file... check! Freeze after hitting the save icon... check! Does literally nothing afterwards. Edit: this is a joke, right? Take a look at the app support site. Notice anything strange? Thought so.
It was working okay, but it just stopped functioning. After saving three project files, the program deleted the contents of two project files. Then, it crashed, and would not run.
In Ruby, when I assign gets to a variable, it is nil. It completely doesn't recognize gets.chomp.
Compiler doesn't work properly.
Activating the keyboard makes the navigation bar disappear, which mean that I can't save or run the program that I wrote.
Brace is the perfect casual editor. I wanted something I could use to test out algorithms I was thinking through while away from my dev machine, and it works perfect for that. I love that it isn't trying to be a full-fledged IDE on an iOS device. Also, it is very basic, but looks beautiful. It only has room to get more beautiful. There is no way to enter stdin data currently, so if necessary you will have to work around that (not hard). Wasn't an issue for me. FTP/Dropbox/etc support would obviously be useful. As would the ability to export (via email, perhaps) your code. SSH support would be sweet (whether that looks like an actual client, or simply a means to run your code on your own server rather than via whatever service is currently being used). Great little tool to have.
Was looking for an app to code in Ruby and what I found was less then stellar. Until I accidentally ran across this. Very clean and actually works. Please continue to update this!
Thank you for such a clean, streamlined app. Wonderful job! However, in C++ the compiler doesn't recognise the std library and doesn't allow any input.... This is a problem that requires immediate attention. Please look into it
