• 1000+ book library

• A personalized Life Coach that includes Guided Meditations, Exercises, Daily Planner, and more
New research suggests that light and sound delivered at a certain frequency —40 flashes or clicks per second — appear to restart the natural 40Hz gamma rhythm of the brain and improve the brain functions.
Separately, research has also shown that cognitive exercises could have a major effect on improving memory. The synergistic combination of 40Hz gamma light, sound and brain training games has the potential to improve the brain’s function better than either of these approaches alone by starting a positive feedback loop: 40Hz light could initiate neuronal synchronization that could trigger improved cognitive function, that, in turn, could trigger more neuronal synchronization.
HOW IT WORKS
AlzLife delivers a combination of 40Hz light, 40Hz sound, cognitive exercises, and a personalized Life Coach in a single, easy-to-use, convenient package.
HOW TO USE ALZLIFE
We recommend using your AlzLife app for one hour a day. If the 40Hz gamma frequency flicker is too bothersome, start using the app with the light settings set to a minimum. Most people will get used to the flicker over several sessions. If you stop noticing the flicker, you may want to increase the intensity within the app’s Settings.
Start with games you are familiar with, then continue with as many games as possible. We recommend starting at an easy level and slowly increasing the game difficulty to a level that is challenging but not uncomfortable.
COMPATIBLE DEVICES
The 40Hz gamma light function of AlzLife requires the refresh rate of your device’s screen to be 120Hz. Devices with the required refresh rate include iPad Pro 2017 and newer and iPhone 13 Pro and newer. All other devices (including all other iPhones, iPads, smartphones, and laptops) operate at 60Hz.
SUBSCRIPTION
The FREE version of AlzLife provides access to 40Hz gamma light, 40Hz gamma sound, and easy level of each game. More challenging levels require a subscription. The most popular subscription plan is $79.99 yearly and pays for the development of new cognitive activities that are added each month.
• Subscription will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
• You can turn off auto-renewal by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that plan.

I’ve had the extreme pleasure to be introduced to this program 7 years ago. It has since become a daily ritual for my and me. We’ve found that daily use greatly enhances our cognitive skills. It causes us to think. I highly recommend this program for all older people. It will become just as favorite use as the daily paper use to be. Tree top 1

Doesn’t work with 2024 iPad Pros

Steve5555 on

The App Support website says that the new iPad pros are supported, but the app says they aren’t and you only get 30hz light. The app was updated last a year ago. They probably only need to update their database, but maybe they’ve stopped supporting this app? Unfortunately, the Contact option on the website requires you to complete a nonexistent recaptia, so you can’t contact them to ask if they’re still supporting the app. Update: the suggestion to disable low power mode doesn’t help. It’s already disabled. They’ve fixed the contact option on their website, so we’ll see if they respond or if they update the app to support the latest iPad pros. Update 2: With the new version, they’ve fixed the issue with the latest iPad pros. I’m looking forward to getting my wife started on the app. I thank the developers for a fast response.

Not impressed

Just started using this app. What I really wanted was to be able to just have the flashing light , selection of music I can chose from and a timer so I can make my selections, set the timer and look at my phone in front of the screen to catch up on my emails or whatever. Seems like a pretty is thing to add, no?

Great games!

My Mom is 94 years old and I could see her memory has improved since she started playing those games like Memory Rings and Memory Pairs.

Fun Games!

I got this for my husband who has vascular dementia. He enjoys playing some of the easier games and when he finishes, I grab the tablet and plunge into my favorite, Spider Solitaire. We both use it with the flickering light (which can be turned off). Our older iPad was bought because it is campatible with this app. I don't know which models will deliver the 40Hz needed to be theraputic. Lots of other fun games available in the app too.

Still needs work

Provides the advertised light and sound. But various problems. Books never download, so aren’t available. Some games have annoying repetitive music that can’t be turned off without just turning off the sound on your device. Most don’t have detailed enough descriptions to allow you to play if you didn’t already know how. Some (such as Spider Solitaire) sometimes tell you there are no moves left when there are.

Great product

I have been using AlzLife for 3 weeks now. The games are fun. Surprisingly enough I enjoy the Jewel Crush game with its piano background music since I play the piano. In the last few weeks my ability to find words in word search games like Waffle and Word Finder has increased so much I hesitate to say it but it is like lightning speed. I have consistently used the program on my iPad for an hour a day with wonderful headphones. I started out using minimal light and a lower sound and increased as I became accustomed to it. I used the Luminosity app for several years, but Alzlife has been a great choice and I highly recommend it. There are games that are basic and games that are more challenging so Im sure you will find some games that you like! There are card games, chess, checkers, word finder, math, picture finder games of people, animals and things. Try it, you'll like it, and for me it is working great. I highly recommend it. Best regards...

Maybe it works, sure looks like a cash grab.

Claims ‘all proceeds go to alzheimer’s research’. Okay, where?MIT, where the idea came from? There is another app with similar light and sounds at $3 lifetime this app is $200, lifetime, $10 a month or $80/year. Yes it has a lot of games. Most you can play free on line. I play Sudoku on line, free at all levels. The free games on this app are for 4 year olds. Hoping for MIT to offer an app, THAT I could trust.

Not the cure all we had hoped for

A time to remember on

United States

We have been using this app for my mom for over 9 months - at least an hour a day and haven’t missed a day. She has completed over 386 hours and 21,000 games in that time. While it has help to relieve anxiety and improve sleep it hasn’t helped with short term memory or retaining how to perform daily activities. We are grateful for what it has helped her with but disappointed it hasn’t helped with memory and performing daily activities- which is steadily declining. Hopefully others will see better results than my mom.

I love the idea and the science but…
