The BrainPro App is specifically designed to train your brain through purposefully timed eye movement exercises and coordinated touch exercises to a metronome. The exercises include circular pursuits to a metronome, a sequence of saccades and pursuits to a metronome specifically coordinated to activate one side of the brain at a time and exercises to improve your ability to keep your eyes focused while performing a manual task to a metronome.
It is widely accepted that when areas of the brain weaken it compromises optimal posture, physical and mental performance. Although weakening in any area of the brain could potentially affect posture, some areas such as the brain stem could potentially have the greatest impact. We have specifically designed our exercises to involve multiple cranial nerves in order to activate every section of the brain stem. Another key component is integrating distant brain regions together such as the frontal lobe, the cerebellum, the vestibular system and the brain stem. In order to facilitate this integration we have added a metronome feature in most of the exercises which will promote endurance within the neurological pathways that we specifically activate. It is through the Inferior Olive of the Brain Stem that the Cerebellum is able to efficiently perform optimal motor coordination, timing and learning. Motor activities to a metronome are simply one of the very best strategies to enhance so many important regions of the brain such as: the vestibular system, the red nucleus, the superior colliculus, the reticular formation, sensory and motor cortices, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (executive functions) and the spinal cord.
