HOW IT WORKS
You can purchase the digital Bratislava CARD via the Bratislava CARD app or at card.visitbratislava.com. Its
activation is carried out directly in the app.

1. Activation of the digital card purchased in the Bratislava CARD app
After payment via the app, the digital card is automatically generated as an inactive one. You can
subsequently activate it by clicking the Activate button.
Please note:  Activate the card right before its first use to avoid an early start of the countdown of the
card’s validity period.

2. Activation of the digital card purchased at card.visitbratislava.com

Enter the card number sent to your email address after purchase into a designated field. Activate the
card by clicking the Activate button. Please note:  Activate the card right before its first use to avoid an
early start of the countdown of the card’s validity period.
After the initial activation, the digital card operates in an OFFLINE mode and displays not only the card
itself but also its benefits and card´s validity period countdown. The dynamic countdown clearly displays
and counts hours, minutes, and seconds left to the expiration of the card down. Once the countdown
has finished, the digital card will be automatically deactivated. If the card includes the public transport,
please do not forget to display the generated electronic travel ticket with a QR code to a ticket
inspector, train conductor, or a regional bus driver (red buses of Arriva Co.).
