Brick Search Reviews

New Pay Wall for QR Scan

Anicknamefewerthan30characters on

United States

As of January 2025, the app now requires a paid subscription to utilize the QR scan tool for Collectible Minifigure blind boxes. The app will allow 12 free scans before locking the feature behind a pay wall. A simple search online will yield free alternatives that, frankly, work better.

Shameful money grab.

Traintrax390 on

Used to be free and worked pretty well. Would have been willing to pay $3-$5 for the app but $25 annually is insane. I have deleted the app and hope others will do the same.

Disappointed!!!

DwarvishWarrior7 on

When I first got this app I adored it BUT!!!! I don’t know when it happened because it didn’t used to do this but now there is a limit of 12 “Free” scans for lego blind box’s then it doesn’t allow you to scan any more and attempts to make you pay a monthly fee of $24 a month for more scans!??!??!!!!! This is of course outrageous to be forced to pay to scan a box… let that sink in….. no I’ve deleted this app from my phone and will never use it again there are better and actually free apps to use on the App Store that do this!!!!! You should not have to pay to scan a little box!!! No I’m very disappointed in this app and if I could give less than one star I would!!!! This is a blatant scam and a disgrace to what this app used to be!!!!

Really bad

Poolside Kate on

It does not help at all. I have a Lego set and need to find a piece for and it doesn’t even help to find the piece. All it does is scan barcodes to tell you what is inside. It DOES NOT find just a piece you are looking for. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

DO NOT UPDATE

App has switched to a scummy subscription model

Was cool…

Adam07_530 on

Was a great app but now having to pay just to scan figures I won’t be using this any more. Not enough features worth paying for…

Juice no longer worth the squeeze

Half the time the scanner did not work. Now the devs have put it behind a paywall. Avoid this app at all costs.

It’s a good app

Jasmine360$ on

The app is a great app to use for your Lego collection and keeps up with sets you don’t have or want I wish they had the Lego marvel encyclopedia so i could add it to my collection

Subscription based now.

Spachek3 on

United States

What a crock of garbage. Not sure why they chose to start charging to use the app, now you only get 12 scans of the camera before you have to fork over $3 a month or $24 a year. You greedy clowns.

Devs ruined it

DearQuark on

United States

Barely even works anymore, and the devs have the audacity to suddenly charge a subscription. No way
