Can’t connect to unit
This app does nothing it says it will do. Starting with claims of: 1) “Local BrightSign players are automatically detected”. I have 8 players on the local network. 4 HS144’s, an HD 1022 and 3 HD1024’s It can’t find any of them automatically or manually. I can connect to all of them via web browser, some have passwords, some do not, it doesn’t seem to matter. I can even ping and connect to them via my iOS device...but not using this app. This app is completely useless when you can’t get past set one.
A bunch of HD210s an all is working fine.......until IPad dies and there is no way to get the older version of the app on the replacement IPad. BrightSign answer....buy all new units, redo all brightauthor files, retrain all clients........on and on. Time is money. I understand they don’t want to support people unless they spend ‘new’ money, but at least give me the old app so I can sort it out myself.
The app crashes every time I try logging in to the player.
App will not refresh after an action is sent. When action to load new page (and new set of actions), the actions from the previous page stay on app and no longer effective. Users need to return to app home and re open selected player to refresh the action list. Previous version was better for me.
When a player goes offline it moves to the offline tab in the app but when it goes back online it doesn’t comeback to active on the app... you have to delete the player and re-add. Annoying.
I can pull up my unit via a browser no problem. Enter the same up into app and nothing
Might be time for an update to this app. I have a few feature requests I'm getting from my showroom managers and just noticed that "last updated" timestamp.
Look, these guys just have the best digital signage products out there, period... You can save a ton of time researching, and just go with BrightSign. Stable, intuitive, and elegant.
