I had my savings in a competitor’s bank (Popular Bank) but Brio had a better Annual Percentage Yield. Popular’s interface design and service sucked so I wasn’t expecting much better from Brio. Wow was I pleasantly surprised! Incredible and fast customer service and a nice interface that makes online banking or using the phone app fun. I have to be honest, my faaaavorite interface is Ally Bank with their super cool “buckets” feature and other fun features but at the end of the day Brio gives me more money so here I am. Woot!
App and website both are awful
It is impossible to make transfers to this bank. Even after verifying the account it is impossible to transfer funds. In this day and age it is a completely ANCIENT app
Brio Needs To Do Better
In 2024 I expect a banking app to be much more sophisticated. I shouldn’t have to hunt all over this app to find the most basic information about my B account. Why can’t I see the interest rate on my account? Why can’t I see what deposits are pending? Why does it take 5 days for funds to post to my account when I have sufficient funds to cover the deposit amount? Then to top it all off, no dark mode?
no transparency
this app has a million holes for scaming the customers. theres no interest rate info. theres no monthly statements. theres no way to get support by writing if youre deaf. theres no monthly anything & i think thats illegal. you could easily forget your money is there bc theres ZERO monthly correspondence. ive had this app for 5 yrs. each month i deposit more money but the interest payment is very random. it doesnt match the adjusted APR math! of they can steal your money with transparency lacking like this. time to move my money. they didnt change the rates, but my interest calculation is only 1/4 what it should be! criminal behavior!
Very basic app
Deposits take three days to show after they take the money from your other bank. Also, unlike all other bank apps, this app doesn’t show you the interest rate. We would never know if they changed interest to 0% day after our deposits.
Unable to deposit a check
Have been trying for over a month to deposit a check and every time I get error message saying “Our system are currently undergoing maintenance, please check back later”. You need to fix this bug.
Warning
Had to stop a wire transfer to these guys from my depositing account branch for they would not talk to me after I changed my mind. Their information on me was not processed correctly and the whole process dubious. I would warn anyone from setting up an account with this bank. Do your investigating first and stick with reliable banks.
Do not use this bank, untrustworthy, unreliable, and riddled with accounting issues.

I opened an account with them and transferred some funds into my account, and learned a hard lesson. The transfer was denied, but they still took the funds. They held my funds, and refuse to release my funds back to my account. Not trust worthy.
App Malfunctions a Lot, Doesn’t Show Interest Rate, No Customer Service Available
Have had repeated problems with the app which, strangely doesn’t display your current APY/APR anywhere (you either have to call in to get it or get on a laptop/desktop to find it). Seems like that is so you don’t get any higher rates they offer (Brio makes you close an account and open a new one to get the higher rate. One problem, there is a waiting period betw closing the old account and the new account being active so you lose up to 2 weeks interest when you do this). Horrid customer support via phone. I’ve had to wait over 45 min for a rep for something only a phone rep could help me with. Seeing that others eventually have issues accessing their money suggest this is a bank to avoid.
App denied
They kept declining the application with correct information but the customer service could not figure out the problem. How can we trust them with money? Useless bank.
