Listen to streaming internet radio in an ultra-simple, single-purpose app.
Broadcasts makes building a library of stations from around the world easier than ever — no subscription required. Use completely free with a limited-size library of stations, or upgrade to the full version to unlock the library limit and add as many of your own stations as you like from the Station Browser, or manually via URL. Search for stations from around the world as easily as from your own library.
Showcase gorgeous station and track artwork (for supported stations) with the all-new Now Playing screen. Use Shazam (Beta) to power the Now Playing screen with artwork and metadata for stations that do not provide it, or simply to provide an ambient Now Playing experience for music playing nearby. Show the currently playing artwork and metadata on external displays if you want an all-screen experience.
Sync your library across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV with iCloud & Universal Purchase.
Browse stations in grid or list view. Listen in Light or Dark mode. Edit stations to provide your own artwork, or use the Artwork Chooser to generate something fun and colorful. Thoughtful mouse, trackpad & keyboard support provides a great experience on iPad. Perform common tasks from the Command menu, and control playback using keyboard shortcuts. Use Handoff to transfer playback between devices, or AirPlay directly to a home speaker.
Listen with just your Apple Watch (Cellular) while out and about, or on Apple TV at home.
Supports CarPlay on certified devices; stream internet radio on your CarPlay-enabled head unit directly.
Automate playback using Shortcuts.

WHAT I DO LIKE: Simple and light app, No fuss and straight to the point; Ability to use custom artwork (a must-have); Possibility to add custom station, if not available in the library; Two sizes of widgets; Available across all Apple devices, among others the Apple Watch; Support for CarPlay and AirPlay; Small details, like the volume bar at the bottom of the screen, etc.
MY WISHLIST FOR THE NEXT RELEASE: Definitely more options for the widgets: dark mode (please 🙏), choose the station we want to start (it’s not necessarily the last played); A complication for the Apple Watch ; Nice-to-have: autoplay when we start the app via the App Icon (this is already covered though if we use the widget). Great work. Kudos to the developer !
Great app from a great developer. 🙌
Fun 📻
Broadcasts makes music listening fun again. Brilliant app!
Syncing doesn’t work now.
Syncing stopped working. Nothing happens when I click the iCloud sync button. It just says ‘local only’.
Great radio app because...
This is a great radio app because it lets you select custom folders for radio stations from their database or from stations you add yourself. I hope they can update their database soon.
Fantastic app
Broadcasts is a great internet radio player, I use it the most on iPhone and CarPlay but the Mac app is pretty good as well. I especially like the option to change the name and picture for any station, since a lot of them have low-res artwork or no artwork at all.
My only real complaint is that it can be difficult to find stations, since the only organization is by country. The best discovery method for me has been the TuneIn website (you can search for a station in Broadcasts after finding it elsewhere) or reading forum threads about stations.
Can’t play m3u stations
I tried to add the stream located ar http://79.120.11.40:8000/chiptune.ogg.m3u but I got a cryptic error message that doesn’t even render correctly.
Best app for audio streaming
Finally added wrap around so if you get to the end of the list another press will take you back to the start instead of doing nothing.
Love it, LOVE IT!
Great ap
Who says radio’s dead?
I usually listen to podcasts when I’m doing chores, etc. But when I want something different I listen to music. This app is super easy to use and has a ton of selections from around the world. I’m not stuck listening to my own library all the time. Broadcasts is like shortwave for music.
