Horrendous Experience, Unnecessary App

AnotherBryce on

Canada

This app is a security risk since you can’t paste a password when creating your account, or even view the password you’ve typed. That means that you can’t use a password manager or even make sure you didn’t typo your password. I ended up having to use an insecure password so that I’d have some chance of entering it correctly. They’re already using Ticketmaster in the background, so please at least give us the option of just using them (bad as they are). Actually using the app once you’re signed in is just as bad. It’s not at all obvious where to find your tickets for upcoming events. It turns out they’re buried under “Venue -> City Name”, not on the “Home” tab. If you’re going to force people to use an app to access tickets, at the very least the tickets should be front and centre when you open the thing. This was so frustrating that I’m going to avoid any events that require this app in the future if at all possible. As soon as the event is over this app and account are gone. Broadway, please have another look at the design of this thing. Adding friction to the experience isn’t helpful, especially when venues already struggle to attract people.

Not all companies need an app

Remember the good old days when you’d buy tickets to a show online and they’d just email them to you? Why did we stop doing that? Then they made it slightly more inconvenient by forcing you to log onto Ticketmaster to download your tickets to your phone. Annoying, but not awful. And now I had to download an entirely new app for the one or two Broadway shows I’m going to see in my city this year. Create a whole new account with no autofill to help me out. Search for the tickets because of course they wouldn’t be somewhere intuitive like under a heading called “tickets” but rather a roundabout way by first going to “venues.” And then, once I finally freaking get there, I then have to sign in through Ticketmaster anyway. And again, because I couldn’t just do this through my web browser but have to go through this inane app, my password wasn’t stored and had to be reset. A good ten minutes of painfully typing and trying to get this to work - not to mention the 3 or so emails I’ve been sent in the last week - all to get some tickets. Why are we over complicating things? Who is the marketing exec you hired that convinced you that your patrons wanted an app? We absolutely do not. Horrible user experience. Please stop trying to force apps on us. Just make it easy to see shows. Take all the money you poured into this and use it to make theatre more affordable.

Amazingly bad

It’s amazing this app was updated a day ago, yet they still haven’t bothered to fix the #1 biggest issue that everyone here has been complaining about for a year… you can’t log in! I mean, logging in to manage your tickets is kinda the whole point of the app. Without that, it’s beyond useless. Is anyone even reading the feedback here? Pay attention. Do better!

Never works

This app is so buggy there’s no point in using it for your tickets. I can view all my performance tickets on web just fine but as soon as I log into the app suddenly they’re not available.

Can’t Log In

Email and password were 100% correct and log in would not work. Use browser to go to site and add tickets to wallet instead, that worked fine.

The iPhone app doesn’t work. I’ve spent so many hours trying to get my tickets it’s ridiculous.

Junk

Used the exact same password as I had open in my browser and it wouldn’t recognize it. It also gives you an error if you use a VPN.

Horrible

Cannot login. When I asked to reset the password it said there was no user registered with at email. I ended up logging into my account through web browser and was able to add the tickets to my Apple wallet that way.

Garbage

The app is garbage. I can log in on the web, not on the app. Reset password, on the app my email doesn’t match my account. The app is your ticket….so what now?

Couldn’t log in and also new design is Bad

Katie_42 on

I don’t usually update my apps unless needed, so when I accidentally updated this app, I was late to the party of not being able to access my account on the app. I can log in on my desktop no problem, but this app will not recognize my password. Finally, I was able to sign in using my apple account, but it didn’t have any of my information like it always did. Also the new design of the app is NOT user friendly. Before, I was able to access my tickets with a click of the button. Simple, and most importantly, it was fast. This is important because I want to quickly access my current ticket as quickly as possible when I am at the show. This design bloats the app with a lot of unneeded information and frankly makes me very frustrated. Please fix both the backend to let users log in to their accounts, and also fix the design of the app to create a better user experience.
