So mad about loosing the branch near me in Hondo, TX
Then you leave the crummy location in Castroville open & the parking is almost non existent & drive thru is cramped & horrible to get in & out of. That is now my closest branch.
So if I have to use a ATM then I have to park & walk up for this or drive up & then back back out.
If it wasn’t so time consuming I would have already closed accounts & will be doing that this next year.
Just takes time with direct deposits & auto drafts.
The employees in the branch in Castroville are fine, it’s not their fault.
Also now for a second time when I have gone to a branch to make a withdrawal they have taken it out of an account that I sign on with parents, which causes a problem.
I have shared this before & never heard a word.
No Challenge Questions Offered - Can’t Login
I am temporarily without cell service and cannot login to my account due to a fault within the identity verification process. Because I am temporarily without cell service I cannot verify my identity via call or text. A third verification option, challenge questions, would allow me to overcome this. However, the security questions are not being offered. I went to a physical branch expecting for this to be easily overcome, but was told that the online banking specialists have no way to either reset your account, nor force the system to ask the challenge questions. Basically, without cell service there is NO way to login to my account. And, being physically present with multiple forms of proof of identity are of no value. This seems to be a fundamental flaw of the system and a failure of coding their specialists when an in person client cannot gain access to their own information. I’ve never encountered this issue with another bank.

I had not paid much attention to interest rates due to the fact, that for all my life I was always working, & then one day I happened to notice I was only receiving 0.01% interest for both my checking & savings accounts; so I requested a better rate (however, i don’t know how long I was paying that rate). They agreed & started paying me 0.05% for checking, & 0.50% for savings. Average for a local bank, but these days you can find a whole lot better with some ‘online only’ banks. I purchased a CD & was told it would compound daily & pay dividends monthly, neither of which was true; so sometimes the bank representatives get it wrong. So I would look at your disclosure & take anything they tell you with a grain of salt. Also, my CD’s interest rate was different from the interest rate of my ‘certificate of deposit’; however they made good on all of it & fairly compensated me for their faults. Also, on another note, I recently was charged some excessive transfer fees; however, later I discovered according to their disclosure agreement, that I should not have been charged them since the transfers were between Broadway internal accounts. They argued with me, but could not deny that their ‘exclusion clause’ should have excluded me from having to pay the fees, & in the end refunded me the charges. Overall I have to say they are still a good bank & intend to keep at least a CD with them. I have a feeling they’re getting ready to change a lot of things after all their new construction gets finished, & I think things will get a whole lot better.
