Forget cheesey Instagram filters and boring old colour tools, Brushstroke makes a far more elegant impact. So easy to use, and simple to experiment, yet the results are truely amazing. Obviously some very clever things happening under the hood to convert an otherwise dull photo into a masterpiece oil painting or watercolour. Worth every penny.

Very easy to use. The app automatically paints the pictures. (It's fast.) There are dozens of basic presets, and settings for fine tuning. Many of the presets are only suitable for certain types of images, however. After playing with it you will probably settle on three or four favorites. But as it is so fast in rendering the pictures it doesn't take too long to look at all the basic options. The pictures are basically oil paintings, there is a "washed" setting, but Waterlogue is better if you want watercolor-style paintings. And if you want more control over the strokes, Clever Painter is great option.

I love the fact that you can actually put a signature on your painting

This app enables me to take photographs that might have certain deficits or problems and turn them into fabulous paintings. And the options are endless. Thanks for making such a fun tool!

“Randomize” button/tab needed to take the optimal level of advantage of this great application. I just like to hit that “randomize” tab and see the real magic. Extremely easy to use.

The Brushstroke app has been a favorite of mine for the past several years. I enthusiastically recommend it!
