Gracz dowodzi wieloma jednostkami na mapie heksagonów, starając się osiągnąć cele misji, od obrony ważnych miejsc po zwykłe zniszczenie wszystkich sił wroga. Uszkodzone jednostki mogą zostać naprawione lub zastąpione nowymi rekrutami, a zwycięskie eskadry poprawią swoje umiejętności, dzięki czemu następnym razem będą jeszcze trudniejsze do pokonania.
Logika strategii i interaktywna koncepcja użytkownika są inspirowane oryginalną wyspą bitewną Blue Byte. Większość materiałów graficznych, muzycznych, mapowych i tekstowych pochodzi z domeny publicznej na licencji Creative Commons License lub General Public License.
