Doesn’t work anymore, despite the app and the server both being paid, the level of support is extremely low and the app doesn’t seem to be updated much anymore.

BTT Remote (BTT stands for BetterTouchTool) is a great remote control for your Mac. It allows you to take almost full control over your Mac and all the apps installed on it.
BTT Remote is free, however it requires BetterTouchTool running on your Mac (you can download a 45 day trial from www.bttremote.com)
Your iPhone must be in the same WiFi network as your Mac, enterprise networks may not work.
Note: BTT Remote will not work with Microsoft Windows
Features:
• Includes a nice trackpad to control your Mac's mouse cursor. The trackpad also supports basic multitouch gestures
• Remotely type or dictate text to your Mac
• Remotely access media keys from your Mac's keyboard (play/pause, change the volume, change the brightness for internal and external displays, etc. )
• Remotely access and use any app's menubar
• Configure global actions that work in every application.
• Assign custom icons to each action you configure.
• Configure arbitrary app specific actions for any application you want. With those actions you can control almost anything on your Mac. If you want to see what is possible please checkout BetterTouchTool first.
• Browse your file system (e.g. to start a movie or application while lying in bed)
• Transfer files (up to 6 MB) from your Mac to your iPhone and view them or share them there.

Crazy Good
This app is crazy good, wish I knew about it years ago. Would love to see siri shortcuts support, that would be a game changer for me.
Legendary
The app itself is amazing since you can customise the touch bar 👍 This remote is also an excellent addition! Does exactly what I want it to. Respect goes to the dev if BTT!
Don't bother
Would not have downloaded the app and then the desktop version if I'd known that it would not work without paying for the full version. What a waste of time. There are better paid remote control apps out there. Also, I don't appreciate the sneakiness. I'll just go pay for a competitor's app now.
Now paid
This was a great app. However, now you need to pay for the desktop server to use the app. Reading the FAQ I'm not fully convinced whether or not there will be continuous updates, or if any future updates will require payments either. The developer writes "I hope to...", however if I'm going to hand over my money I expect to see "I will definitely...". I also noticed in the FAQ that the app will be free for purchasers of the server. I've paid for the app, the server should be free.
Excellent
Great tool to remote control ur mac. Downloaded so I could easily search, download, add to list and play media. Very powerful features, doesn't waste battery like a screen replicator would- and faster responses... I chose this option over Apple TV as I can move files as I watch them ( also something this app can do if set up correctly).

I bought this app with only the intention of rewarding the developer of better touch tool on the mac with an extra sale. BTT is such an integral part of my experience on my macs that I sometimes get confused by the lack of functionality when I sit down at someone else's mac. I didn't think I needed the BTT Remote app at all, like I said the purchase was simply an easy way of sending a donation. However... This app is quite awesome. After just a few minutes I was smiling at what I was doing with it. Well done.

Brilliant App
This app has great functionality. It allows for complete control over your computer from the comfort of your iOS device. I just love it. I recommend this to anyone who has a Mac.
