Buildium Reviews

Overpriced

This is too expensive

App needs to be Colorado compliant regarding late fees

Thefirehaus on

United States

It’s been 3 years since the late fee laws changed in Colorado and Buildium still hasn’t been updated to comply. On a phone call yesterday with Buildium, I was informed that I needed to use the “suggest a feature” option to suggest this addition to the software and if it became popular enough it would implemented. I’m not sure why minimal compliance with state laws is a popularity contest, but nonetheless. I was shocked to see a 3 year old suggestion asking Buildium to become compliant with the late fee laws of Colorado!!! 3 years!!!

Initially great but then

I love all the functions and reports and clarity. But as my property manager adds work orders and request payments for maintenance done. I’m not able to use the app to see this stuff. I have to login in non the website.

All Sales NO substance

A lot of Talk but NO Walk. This is one of the higher priced property management software's and their support is absolutely horrible. The only reason I haven't left yet is because i'm trying to rebuild my portfolio on another site. I called this past week again and sat on hold for over 30-minutes. This service can cost you thousands a year with all their add ons and no ne their to help. However, you can set up a meeting with one of their sales reps for any time of the day. Cadillac sales team and Hooptie support once they have your money.

App vs Full Site

The app is handy but having to constantly switch to the online login for when working remotely because there are so many features not available in the app.

Used to be great. But they changed.

they no longer offer background checks. We have to leave the platform to do it. It’s too bad.

Buildium Designers Have No Clue

Quitting Buildium ASAP on

So many stupid design flaws show that the company software designers have no clue about how things are done and handled in the real world. We are excited to migrate over to a different software as soon as possible.

Could be better

Great app as a hole but glitches from time to time… and the contacts don’t sync which would make contacting applicants and tenants easier.

Making requests is a pain. App bails on draft messages

relativityboy on

Landlord here - When trying to make a request to the apartment managers. - First screen to make a title, then click next - Next screen where I have to click again to make a description, or a different click to add an attachment, - In description click <save> to go back so I can add an attachment, then click attachment, then attempt to give app permission to the photo I want add, when I go back to the builium app it reverts to the home screen and deleted the request I just drafted… So I have to re-craft the whole thing. Seriously? What are you writing in VB? ASP.net? REQUESTS have title, text, attachments. THERE BASICALLY AN EMAIL. Just copy gmail’s compose interface. It’s freakin’ easy. There are demos on the web that get you inter-device chat with pictures in an hour. I’m sure you can update the interface by sometime Feb 2024. I’ll be watching. And if I don’t see improvements, maybe I’ll make a competing app.

Complicated customer service

Reitz21 on

Requests for support are always in a ticket form and you never get to communicate with anyone who can actually fix a problem or issue. I have been waiting almost a month for a ticket to be resolved and they have disconnected service in the meantime. Not reliable for doing business. Especially at the cost of 2,000 a year.
